Simply mind boggling how far he's come in 12 months. I saw him pick up 8 disposals against Werribee last year and thought he'd be a chance to get chopped or at least dropped to the rookie list after one season. Here's to hoping he picks up from where he left off.

Nick is a good player but has one of the worst disposal efficiency's in the game. Richards is quicker though. If he can find it like Martin, he'll be fantastic

martin is better placed fwd of centre where his more creative kicking is less likely to hurt you if there is a turnover, but his evasiveness, ability to find space and goal sense is first class. Traits I think this kid richards looks to have

Agree lock him away.
He'll be hard to displace from the 23 come finals if he is performing week to week.

Just loving watching him play. So clean and beautiful ball use
geez, IMO, Nic Martin is a gun ..6'4, runs like the wind, can play on-ball, HB, HF, kicks it well, knows how to find it ..
for the price they paid (rookie) he's an absolute steal.

I’m sure that there more diamonds in the rough out there like Joe Richards and Nic Martin in country and suburban leagues. With our lack of high draft picks, we need to go hunting for them

I reckon both start in the 22 and Sully goes sub
he takes the game on, breaks the lines and is aggressive with his kicking
Madgen and Mayne were top 10 kicking efficiency in the comp ..they consistently kicked it 10-yards sideways with zero hurt-factor

Too soon....
Phil Walsh was my PE teacher at high school. Top bloke. Hard as nails and uncompromising but at the same time encouraging and supportive. He demanded your very best every time you turned up - which for many these days would be quite schocking, I suspect.
