Calm down. Having a bad day? We're looking finals bound. Any Pies supporter who feels like a winner out of losing JDG for a double figures pick is deluded.

Obviously Geelong want him and it makes sense for them given it costs them nothing but $$, which I assume they have.
JDG will just need to make the call if he wants to be at Collingwood or feels he wants a change of scenery and heads to Geelong for most likely a few extra $$.
For him, probably benefits in both options. For the Pies, it won’t necessarily be disasterous as we get another 1st round pick. And for the Cats, they get a player who can potentially step in for Selwood/Danger and keep their 1st round pick.
Whichever way it goes, probably all parties will feel like winners.

You don’t see him at his best when we challenge next.
What are you watching? The boys sit 2 games from top spot and one of our losses was to the WeeGirls.
If you don’t think that anyone in the top 8 is a chance this year. The Dreamons aren’t that ungettable any longer and the rest aren’t much better.
If we can go into make finals and go in unscathed with a fullish list. We are every bit a chance.
So to your first point. We are in the mix now. And depending on recruitment and development at seasons end we could be there for some prolonged presence.
Yes we need DeGoey. And yes we should be looking to sign him up. Well before thinking of McStay and others. You can think whatever you like about him personally. But there is one thing he is. And that’s a bonafide match winner. And that’s why everyone wants him.

Lack of commitment? Basing that on his Bali trip or something else? Getting on the sauce whilst on mid-season break is pretty standard. He is in great condition atm. Check out his visible superficial temporal vein. Good amateur’s sign he is running lean.
Comparing him to Kyrgios? Well, makes me wonder if you barrack for Collingwood.
He has been excellent for us this year - and the second half of last season. And he hopefully will be again on the Goldy.

It's gameday a-holes. No internal rancour on gameday.
Get around each other with some pats on the arse and that sort of thing.
C'mon, give us a pat.
Doubtful. Has that happened apart from Dangerfield which probably had a different circumstance to most unrestricted FAs. Many bigger or as big names than De Goey have been RFAs without their club matching. Think clubs in the main understand when you lose a RFA who is a bigger name you lose out. There are exceptions.I imagine we’d look to match and force a trade. A 2022 and a 2023 1st round pick gets closer to what I think he’s worth. Could add Henry or DeKoning to sweeten the deal in lieu of 1 of those 1 round picks if they want.
GWS matched Geelongs offer for Cameron. Generally if a club has committed to a player, they’re not going to back out easily, particularly with a high quality player like Jordy. I have every confidence that if he decides to leave, we’ll force a favourable trade rather than cop an insufficient pick.Doubtful. Trouble with matching is you are going to generally have to offer a contract that until that until recently you were not willing to do. Potentially you have a player who doesnt want to be with you anymore and the club making the offer may well have been willing to do it based on no further outlay but when you now want their next 2 1st rounders the attraction of that player.is greatly diminished.
No if we lose De G our return will likely end up as a pick around 12.
Danger and Cameron are the only big ones - two blokes who didn't maximise contracts, instead moving for location. Tarrant also a cheap trade to ensure compo wasn't lost.Doubtful. DeGoey for pick 12? Not saying take it but depending on the strength of the draft, it may be considered.Doubtful. Basing it off his entire career to this point. Footy isn't his number 1 priority. I get it. I don't care about my job it's just a paycheck for me.
It's not a judgement on him as a person. I couldn't care less about the drama personally. But if we throw the house at him we are just repeating the mistakes of the past.
If he wants to stay all well and good. But the situation has changed and I am not against us looking into the offer again.
I think we should move him.
He is one balls up from us having to sack him and lose him for zero.
Im wondering if a decent deal can be done with Brisbane. He's perfect for them.
They are looking to hand off their first and accumulate points.
We have the third rounders to give, Mcstay looks like he's coming, package them altogether.
Degoey and 3 thirds for Brisbanes 1st, future 1st and mcstay. Brisbanes firsts will be in the 15-19 mark so they aren't brilliant.
Would give us a pick around 10-12. / 16-18 roughly and mcstay. Trade the future first in and we have 3 picks inside 10-20 roughly plus mcstay.
Two talls, a mid and mcstay.
However you work the picks and players I don't think our compo will be enough for degoey around pick 10-12.
No doubt the 3 million graham wrights on the board will carry on about this but I'm just throwing up ideas around maximising his value and Brisbane fits the bill in a lot of ways.
His sins pale into insignificance compared to our bad boys of the past. His most recent sin was behaving like a knob. Perspective.
Yes but when you were on the brink of getting sacked on your last holiday, maybe you could just not be a dickhead for a few days?
For DeGoey it's an accumulation of s**t that makes even the little things mean more.
Reality can be boring.Boring
