Caro says Carr was very much in support of Ken’s new contract
Dunno about the first sentence. At some point it will actually happen! And the reality is, that we are closer to it than we ever were.
Caro says Carr was very much in support of Ken’s new contract
I read that as Blucher (or someone else from Hinkley's team) seeding the ground for the post 2025 contract by undermining his main competitor.
It seems reasonably clear that Wilson has been a direct conduit for Hinkley's team's propaganda from the start.
Yeah but only because we keep signing him… she’s like that with most stories.
And Tassie will do the same. Will be a sh*tfest. We exist to fill the AFL coaching ranks. Just like GWS & GCS who exist to feed players into the big 4 Vic clubs.
Ken Hinkley coaching off the bench in 2053Dunno about the first sentence.
The second sentence is definitely true.
I have thought the same thing. There seems to be a bit of a ‘changing of the guard' going on. Jonas, except when injury strikes, seems to be out of the 22, Boak isn’t an automatic selection these days, Lycett on his last legs, and a lot of younger players are getting some games. It looks as if there is an element of trying to get a look at players to decide the makeup of the team going forward. Thus current team is actually quite young. With a few pieces in place (a lockdown defender and a dominant ruck) Josh might think he'll inherit this team at the right time. It's a gamble to stay or leave
And then proceeds to glowingly recommend extending the longest serving coach at one AFL club to not make a grand final. **** OFF DAVIES.Herald Sun suggesting that Chris Davies convinced Carr that his future is with Port

You don't want to see that video.Did the whole syndicate take turns convincing Josh?
Good observation.I love how we're being fed stories manufactured by the club that Carr is rejecting every senior coach opportunity in the world because he is about stability and being second to Ken at Port Adelaide
The big question is Josh Carr going to maintain integrity, tactics, skills and nous or join the daisy chain. In terms of family stability, career progression and future negotiations Josh Carr is a tactical genius. It was only a year ago that JC returned with a wife who was very happy to be back in Adelaide and four kids - so packing up a house and moving again wouldn't have been the most attractive choice. JC has very cleverly agreed to commit to Port (with a midfield that is every midfield coaches wet dream) and a public acknowledgment from the current coach, Head of Footy and President that he will be a head coach in the future. Whatever happens at Port he'll be in plain sight as a first choice for another club. He's on a promise that he's gauranteed two more years as midfield coach and then he gets his opportunity at Port - noone has that sort of assurity in the AFL system unless its a publicly stated handover. If it's true that Chris Davies has convinced him to stay he's now in a world where he knows his kids can stay at the same school, he has job security and the progression he was hoping for. He orchestrted it all in his first year back at the club. Well played.

Yup - Stability
Very logical, sensible, responsible and practical.
Perhaps now we can be lethal, unpredictable, disrespectful, successful.
Or is that not allowed at Port Power
