There's a lot to like there. Particularly the continuous development talk, as I feel like that's a big area we've failed in recently - wildly swinging between the extremes of complete rebuild and topping up to challenge. Good they seem to be striking a balance between reshuffling the current assistants and bringing some fresh faces in as well.

I hope he gets great results but to expect Longmuir to be a media performer to the calibre of ross lyon will never happen. Lyon's articulation and intellect played with the media and hence the local hatred. I have a feeling Longmuir may have a dream run early if we dont get injuries. Freo was improving this year and was on track for finals but once Pearce went down, that was the breaking point. good luck to Longmuir but we need more talent to get where we ultimately want to go regardless of who is coaching.
I don't think he'll have a chance to use "duplicitous" this time around....

As a person who hates public speaking, I felt for JLo at the beginning. But thought he did really well and seems like a decent bloke in the Adam Simpson type mould. Not an old tough love dinosaur coach and that’s a good thing.
Tbh Lyon’s press conferences most of the time made him look like a dick.

I disagree. Lyon's press conferences were great. He almost always summed up the game up in his first answer, giving all the relevant factors in a detailed and informative manner. Then often the journalists would go for simplistic stuff that was obvious. I liked his style of delivery too, with dry wit subtle humour, with a scathing edge. Longmuir is a nice guy but for media purposes he better toughen up. though winning solves all but if things get tough he better have great patience or develop a personality

Every paying member has the right to be reconsidering their membership right now. This club is going through the ringer. I am cautiously optimistic but this is a massively key moment. Its the defining moment to see if our greatest ever player will get a flag or not. Freogirl is 100% right to be worried as all the others have a right for optimism. We ****ed it for Pav let's hope we haven't for fyfe.
