The 2nd and 4th blokes look like serial killers.I remember those buffoons
Funny thing is when you read the text from his pressers it’s very coherent and consideredSomeone needs to give Jlo some media coaching. His interviews are excruciating to watch
Dont think there was any tactical master class... we beat a bad team with practically no bunch for the last half.
Im probably biased as a big RTB fan
You can't convince me any of those are real people. Looks AI generated.Hardwick took 8 seasons to win a premiership. Richmond fans were very impatient View attachment 1649094

I think all bias aside, he probably would - but you'd also have to figure North would look at him for an assistant under Clarko perhaps?!?!As I continue my trend of picking the bones of WC as they descend into a massive rebuild, IF Simpson is moved on this year, would he be great assistant coach pick-up?
Would be nice to get an ex-head coach as an assistant for like the first time in our lives. It makes a massive difference I feel
What's Don Pyke up to this year?As I continue my trend of picking the bones of WC as they descend into a massive rebuild, IF Simpson is moved on this year, would he be great assistant coach pick-up?

I’m as baffled as anyone how he gets his message across to the players if he speaks like that , maybe he doesn’t?
Maybe his genuinely good heart and intent is enough to make the players believe?
It was nice to see him smile a couple of times yesterday

Interesting point but I'd back the club to not be stupid enough to do that and JL to be smart enough to recognise the benefitWould JLo be comfortable with that? Simpson would have much more friends in the Perth media than JLo. We start next season like we've started this year with Simpson in purple and the back page of The West would be calling for JLo to go and Simpson to take over.
Nah, no dickhead policy. As I continue my trend of picking the bones of WC as they descend into a massive rebuild, IF Simpson is moved on this year, would he be great assistant coach pick-up?

Good post. I'd add though that both clubs surrounded thier coach with very successful administrators. Neil Balme being a central figure in both clubs success, and now Melbourne's. Brian Cook at Geelong (now Carlton) and Mark Williams at Richmond. This is our missing piece IMO. I know the Doggies guys we have won a flag, but they're not from 'premiership stock'. An administrator whose had sustained premiership success is what we need. It's a tough one. We miss the finals and you start to worry that another year could be a wasted development year if you stick with JLo and he's no good.
But then you look at examples like Geelong and Richmond who both had down years after previously being on an upward trajectory, decide to stick with their coaches who looked like dead men walking, then suddenly explode and win 3 premierships each. Do they cost themselves those flags if they panic and sack Thompson and Hardwick?
Given the age of our squad I'd lean towards holding our nerve and hope it works out like the above. I think JLo overachieving last year with a ridiculously young team was enough to show he's no dud.

Fair point, I don’t think any of the assistant coaches elsewhere are premiership coaches if they head coached before and clubs are getting more open to hiring fired coaches so he could probably get another head coach gig elsewhere.Adam Simpson has won premierships as a player, an assistant, and a senior coach and he would want to become an assistant at Fremantle why? Because he's in the same state?
I could understand replacing JLO with Simpson but why on earth would he want to work under him?
Almost a guarantee if he gets the flick at the toast he could walk into a media gig in Melbourne or walk into a senior coaching role. Premiership coaches don't grow on trees, they aren't key forwards guys.
Nah, they didn't. They had a good 1st quarter and played out of their skins in the 3rd and kicked 3 goals to our 1.they still pushed us all the way
Apparently the umpires halted their momentum?!Nah, they didn't. They had a good 1st quarter and played out of their skins in the 3rd and kicked 3 goals to our 1.
We kicked 4 in the 2nd and kept them goalless, and in the 4th we kicked 6 goals to 1.
From the 2 minute mark of the last quarter onwards, Freo kicked 6.4 to Eagles 0.1
Eagles were brave, and have had a lot of pats on the back, but if you isolate it by quarter, in the 2nd and 4th we kicked 10 goals to their 1.
The scoreboard flattered them if anything.
