Okay, pause and ask yourself this, is there that much difference between Higgo & the lying rat?

IMO, Higgo's disposal makes him the better player of the pair, so think about this.

If LDU can turn the corner quicker than expected and deliver in the guts, then we can plonk Higgins on the wing and it will make no differences to our expectations pre-Gaff.

The same applies with a fit Ben Jacobs in the side. Keep your expectations high folks.

I think Polec and Hall will make a considerable difference to our midfield next year.
The backflipping emo rat can wallow in self pity for it’s his miss. Not ours. Time will tell on this.
I still firmly believe we can be a contender next year with a fit side.

Another quick outside type would be very handy, but Higgins to a wing well and truly compensates for Gaff.

We just need a good run with injury.

Luke McDonald is actually the one I'm backing to have a breakout year in the position we had earmarked for Gagf.

Still think the coach will play him in lock down roles and I dunno if he's got the legs but it's an interesting idea.

One or two players - LDU, Walker, Luke, who knows - can do what Jed and Froggy did this year. If last year's FA pitches had come off, those two wouldn't have got the opportunities in 2018 and at least one might no longer be on the list. One player we hoped to have doesn't decide what North achieves in 2019 - the guys we do have are capable of plenty.

The ball is totally in Luke's court. I hope he's got the mettle to knuckle down and get himself to the level of fitness required and to start acting like a professional footballer.

If he gets his attitude and fitness right a wing position is there for him to make his own.

As much as i love Higgo, and have just lost any respect for Gaff, one thing i have always said about him is he hardly ever wastes a kick, and i reckon his disposal would be better than Higgo's, but still prefer Shaun as a Shinboner any day, and twice on Sunday's.

No doubt we have plenty of options without Gaff. Id be happy enough with Hall and Polec taking a wing each. Then McDonald may step up, LDU taking a mid spot, White Walker and or Simpkin taking wings or rotating.

Geez, that's a HUGE call mate.

Can't agree with that.

Let’s see what comes out in this trade period, but the current list plus Polec and hall are great gets.
Hall shouldn’t be underestimated, he has some serious wheels which will create so much play and Polec has a deadly left boot.
Can only see upside for Simpkin and LDU with natural football ability.
Dumont was huge at the end of the year so this should be his benchmark. Will walker showed he just has something special.
The turncoat rat would have been good but not the biggest lose

Walker will be a better player than LDU

Probably because he usually takes the shorter option, and therefore would not gain as many metres.

That's game plan related mate.

Just thought I'd share this here, a post from the Main Board - IMO it's a myth about being a "destination club", it's just about PR strategy:

I dont think its a north problem, just a recruiting strategy.

Fact is its hard to get players to move.

Most clubs keep it under wraps except for the ones that are close to sure things before announcing. So you never hear about the ones that failed.

North appear to take the shotgun approach, let it leak about everyone theyre in with a chance for, and hope a few bullets hit. In this case they nailed Polec and Hall, grazed Gaff...and perhaps Dusty just heard the gunfire off in the distance.

Same trade results, different PR outcome.
