Who cares?!?!
AFL Club
Richmond
Other Teams
Liverpool
Being an old Fitzroy boy, l have a soft spot for coaches like Ross Lyon and Roosy... both who have done exceptionally well to date.

I see Hinkley being more of the same. Ex-Fitzroy players never seem to think they were bigger than the game (except for the occasional bloke, ie Doc Whieldon, etc), but Lyon and Roosy seem to have a good solid grounding, not your rah-rah coach.

None of the candidates really stand out for me. But l'm warming to having a guy like Hinkley who has beens successful with a talented Geelong list, but remember, even though his St.Kilda stint was a nightmare, he was hand selected by Blighty who wasn't a bad coach now was he.

I'm a fan, and l reckon that he could that successful soldier we need.

Anything that comes out of Geelong has to be good. He's my favourite, the only questions remaining are will he do well as a senior AFL coach and can he resist the challenges of the Richmond culture?

One of the rumours circulating is that Hinkley + Balme would be the deal. Balme may be getting tired of the long drives from Canterbury to Corio. He said he will only come if Hinkley gets the gig.

Then again, it's only a rumour.....:(

My number 1 choice. Has been a captain at the time of ablett snr and the reign of geelong in the early nineties. which means he know how to lead succesful men. plus the fact he's second in charge to this successful team should mean he knows what he's doing. he also does seem to be be a quiet take no s*** guy. he should be in the final 2 minimum.

Would be a great package. Still, would be happy for either Chocko, Hinkley or Hardwick to coach. Leon Cameron the fourth to be considered. I couldn't see any of those guys accepting any form of white anting that exists in the club.

Has seen plenty of success in modern times with Geelong, but could he do it with Richmonds list?
In saying that I think he would be a good choice especially if he brought Balme with him.

This guy is top ofmy list as who i want to coach because

1. Has played in winning teams
2. Assistant coach to the best team in the league
3. Would proberly follow the same game plan as the cats making a few minor adjustments
4. Knows how to develop players
5. Would get rid of any junk and play some kids
6. Would bring a winning mentality to us

Also on another point i think our club is moving foward off the field with that 1m profit, plenty of sponsors and apparantly we will have one of the best practice facilities in the league so all thing are looking up off the field.

8. Media interviewedJoel Selwood, Travis Varcoe and Tom Hawkins in recent weeks and all three raised Hinkley's name in discussions about their development
