Little lauchie neale making a late run - considering his late draft selection he is really coming on as a genuine ball winning mid who has clean hands and can kick goals from stoppages.

Again, Crouch has just gone from strength to strength in the second half of the season. As far as mids go from the 2012 draft pool i would have Crouch second only to JOM, and not by much.

While I'm certainly not doubting how good both can be, they have definitely benefitted from the extra year on a club list, and in Crouch's case having only played a bit over half a season.
You might be forgetting how good Wines was in the first half of the season, even against Collingwood in round 14 with 16 possessions and a goal in the last quarter.
Give it another 18 months and we'll be in a better spot to judge the talent pool.

Bahahaha still thrashing this platitude?

Little Libba must be unlucky - another 11 tackle effort, near the pointy end of the competition for clearances and contested possessions.

Irrelevant, Wines is already better.

Hmmm

Interesting 3 AFL recruiters as well as Shifter rated the big 4 coming through:

1) Boyd
2) Hogan
3) Patton
4) Daniher

I am tipping a few clubs will go after GWS's number 1 pick at trade time. If Boyd ends up the best many clubs will regret not having a decent crack at this kid.

Crouch shits on Wines. I am gobsmacked that Vlaustin didnt even get a vote in the rising star. IMO he is better than Wines

Vlaustin got 7 votes and finished 6th. Wines was huge early and easily 2nd at the half way mark. Crouch had a better 2nd half and came over the top of him. Mitchell got a start late which cost him and Mullett was consistant all year.

Wines was alot better than Vlaustin early - he did bridge the gap but better is a stretch. I have no issue with the order.

ok thanks.
O'mera will be the best player by far in the next 5 years. Crouch then Vlaustin IMO

Vlaustin has size - like Wines - can hit the ground running and be ready for AFL quickly - to say he will be better than Whitfield, Mayes, McCrae, Viney, O'Rourke - to name a few from last years draft is a call that is way to early to make. We all get excited about new talent that walks in to our club.

Crouch is another Thompson / Priddis type player. Can accumulate but has no speed and average / poor foot skills. The only reason his DE is ok is because he handpasses it so much. Watch the Melbourne game in Round 22 and you will see it.
