Good analysis of each pick and what they bring to their teams. The sections on what you would have done were really repetitive though and I skipped over them after the first couple.

Good job KM, my only issue is your part with what I would do as list manager it was literally a repeat from pick 3 until Sam Flanders went to GC.

Do you think Green, Kemp and Robertson should have been selected sooner?

Great work as always though. I appreciate the input even onnit is by necessity a bit repetitive.

Too much of our media now is click bait rather than honest opinion.

Carlton could have owned this draft. They could have turned their pick 9 into Kemp and Robertson. Why do you think Robertson slid?

Gold Coast liked Robertson but ended up being able to go one better and get Flanders. Geelong also liked Robertson, but not as much as Cooper Stephens - always liking their local talents.

Club draft boards are very different from one another, just as anyone would find with my first round review and how different my own power rankings are from that of clubs.

Clubs seem too down on Robertson's kicking. I'm not as troubled by it and like the way he moved the ball on so aggressively.

KM, please tell me who this philp bloke is? not seeing him in your top 55 is disheartening.

Good inside extractor who goes inside and wins it, dishes by hand. Tested well at the combine but need to see that more in game.

Who the f**k is Mitch Georgiades ? Any good ?

Athletic and a strong mark. Undersized and hasn't been available to play this year. A risk, and one I wouldn't have taken.

Really hope Dees get Jeremy Sharp. I rate him top 20 pick and has the pace and run needed for the Dees. Has WAFL experience.

Sharp would be a great get if there for the very reasons you say.

Will you be doing a 2nd round onwards mock now that the 1st round (and trades) has shifted things?

Don't have the time.

Up till too early in the morning, normal work day for me, then back onto reviewing the draft and going through winners/losers. Won't have a chance.

If clubs keep overlooking the best guy there, I'll keep taking my top guy.

Yes and as per my first round of draft review Flanders the other. All for a number of selections respectively were the best there. When you have your own draft board though and your own strong draft views, that's going to happen.

shifter called jackson top 5 in july, credit to him.

and norwood people said Stephens was told he was a top 7 back in August.

Top 7? Stephens has been top 5 since well before then. Great pick.

I think Richmond made a huge mistake with the way they took their selection and not because of who they selected but the way they went about it.
Personally if i was in charge of Richmond i would have bid on Mead and made port accountable for being cocky enough to trade back 2 spots and give pick #20 to carlton.

This would have forced Port to use pick #22 on mead and if they passed i would have easily been happy with Mead at #21 and dont believe there is much difference in Dow/Mead quality

If Green is any indicator, Port will rookie list Mead as a category B selection

To be honest I didn't know much about Will Day until he was linked to us by Twomey.

I've been looking at all the footage I can of him I can find. I'm starting to get really excited by him. Seems to be a complete player just lacking a frame.

What are your thoughts?

KM, any whispers as to where Gould will be picked? I would love him to slip through to our pick 30. I’m not phased by his poor testing and alleged discipline issues. The kid is a gun.

There were some really nice midfielders available at both that Carlton and Richmond selection at the end of the first round. For me having vastly different rankings to both clubs at those selections it felt like a missed opportunity with Robertson, Maginness, Schoenberg and Rivers all still there.

Day was picked because of the 'moments' he can have. I found him to be very 'blink and you miss it' with not the quantity of good moments I'd want to justify his selection early draft.

I'm hearing North Melbourne are a chance with one of their picks as per my original phantom draft. Adelaide may also, though with McAsey already selected I suspect they'll favour others.
