At the end of the day I'm pretty glad we have Tippett.

But he can be a real force and I want to see him get there.

He has pretty elite contested mark and goals per game numbers just a bit down this year.

Throw it around Tippo.

He's in a small form slump and still kicking goals. Probably no need to jump to conclusions yet

Agreed. I'd stick with him as is for now while the team is winning and he's still kicking goals, not bags but consistently kicking multiple goals.

The last thing I'd do is put Sam Reid into the ruck again. He's finally found his confidence and is looking better than he ever has in his career while playing in defence and on a wing. I'd really not want to see him thrown into the ruck to be monstered inevitably by guys much bigger than him.

Im just thinking we arent using him right, concerned the form slump is our own creation thats all

Not calling for his head

Where else can you use him though?

Not about where but how, and how he sets up

Engaging in a wrestle from behind and conceding front spot every time doesnt work

Lead out for a start

I don't think we ever intended to have 2 key forwards like Franklin and Tippet in the same forward line so it's not surprising that he's not being utilised to the best of his abilities. I think ideally Kurt would be a full time forward and number 1 target with quality crumbers around him but we just can't use him that way unfortunately.

Fair point but last year buddy was there and Kurt was taking more marks and kicking more goals

He can play better than he is now.

Maybe even a game with Buddy resting, kurt forward all day and just get the confidence up

Yeah, it's frustrating when you know how good he can be when he gets plenty of delivery.

Not a natural player , basketballer

So was Pendlebury. Think what he has shown previously and the salary he has commanded because of it would say that is irrelevant to his current output. His problem is a lack of mobility clearly because of the size of his upper body. Regardless if it is his doing or that of the fitness staff he is to big to slow and has the turning circle of a B Double trying to do a 3 point turn in Flinders Lane. Carey said it last night about his inability to be able to get separation on his opponent and that is clearly because he cannot get off the mark. He needs to lean down a bit and drop some of that bulk. Pretty much playing a man down at the moment because apart from being an important tool in restarting the game after a stoppage he contributes little else.

Easiest solution would be to designate 2 forwards to follow Franklin and 2 forwards to follow Tippett.

Have them set up in an ideal way for each of them, Then the midfield just has to decide which boundary to kick it out of bounds on the full too.

Has anyone got any good comparitive pictures of his size at crows and swans?

Looks bigger at the swans (and not just because it's a larger picture)

Bit out of form.

As a true full forward gets potentially the worst delivery in the league.

Has to compete with a guy that is is our main target probably 40% of the time so has to deal with scraps in any case. essentially he is nearly a decoy which is a shame.

Would I like more for his coin - well yah. Pretty happy to have him just in case Pyke or Buddy go down for a stretch though.

Nice problem to have. Lost 2 games and one of our power forwards is Clokeing it up a bit. Cannot wait to see what happens when he starts rolling.

What amazes me about Tippo is that he was a better player before Buddy arrived. He is now taking the second best KPD and he isn't the same. Don't get me wrong, a second key forward that kicks 35-40 goals a season is doing okay but someone of his ability playing alongside Buddy should be kicking 45-60, especially on his salary.

I think he still goes all right but he needs to stop falling over so much it annoys me to no end.
