Think he functions best when not rucking....some of his best is when Franklin is roaming around and delivering the ball to him!! Regardless, IMO we are a better team with him in it
The thing i find most interesting is that 9/10 weeks our mids cop it for poor skills and forward entry yet tippett gets lambasted for scoring 2 goals a game.

He would be kicking 50 minimum at hawks

50 behinds, the way Hawthorn are going.

2 goals a game at 22 games minimum is 44. Not a bad effort and pretty close to that 50 odd at Hawthorn.

I think he does well. He is still somewhat adapting to playing ruck/fwd. Kick it to his advantage and he is going to gobble them up 70% of the time. If not he brings it to ground and we get a goal from that or a stoppage which we get a goal from that.

I like tippo he plays his role so lets just keep him in!

Was watching another game and one of the commentators (can't remember who) said something like.

"If I ever made a lead I'd get a spray. Stand there and mark the ball" .

Needs to be how tippett operates. No ruck work, no leads, park two crumbers at his feet and leave frankling roaming the F50

I get wanting Tippett to produce more - I share that desire - but our team is functioning pretty steadily right now as it is. I'd be hesitant to change anything too greatly and I feel moving Tippett out of the ruck and replacing him with, say, Sam Reid would be a very big change that is unwarranted and unclear as to whether a discernible positive change would be seen as a result.

He isn't completely useless out there. He's also not playing up to the value of his contract. But the big picture is that we're winning games (some against terrible teams, some against decent teams, some against very good teams) with how our team is currently set up. I'd prefer to see stability as we continue winning.

We are a stronger team when the mids move forward and score goals. Mitchel seems to be part of that and also having Tipp in the ruck.

Maybe the balance is right ??
Not sure.

No change is guaranteed to see success. They're all gambles. Personally, I think it's a gamble worth taking while the season is still young. We want to know the best setup for our team by the time finals roll around. The way to do that is to experiment a little early on. It might be a total failure! In which case we can go back to what we're doing now, no harm done.

Sam Reid has found his niche, nobody wants to crucify him in the ruck. Big Kurt just needs to focus on doing the simple things well.

Yes hands off Sam.
He seems to have found a niche playing (well everywhere) but let's not include the ruck.

If we want to go the part timer route let's use Towers.

He looked good last year and year before

Every week he loses mobility

Easy to look good in a highlights package

His crumbing shots tonight looked good so he has it

He has to have an injury

He seems to be degrading every week he now looks very slow and not moving around freely.

Trust me he is not injured or else he wouldn't be out there lol, i think we are running him into the ground.

Whyd he sub off ? Any word?

Paid to kick goals. Kicked 3 goals.

That was the good, took his chances, maybe it boosts him a bit

Even if you dont consider his possies just looks like he is not moving well at all
