I still think both is possible but a player of quality will have to go. (Not Brayshaw). Cox or Darcy maybe? There's not any real world we can get both, it's at best one or the other and that's amazing enough by itself.
The club simply doesnt trade people out that want to be here and even if they did, you get cents on the dollar on those trades. Suppose if Brayshaw left we'd probably have the currency in cap and draft picks but I'd rather not think about that situation
I think you’ll struggle to find a buyer of Darcy’s contract. If he’s desperate to get back to Victoria and willing to take a length and pay cut there’d be a couple of teams interested I’d say.I still think both is possible but a player of quality will have to go. (Not Brayshaw). Cox or Darcy maybe?
Geelong are pretty keen on him. Have been for a while. If Freo threw in some cash for the first few years he'd be worth at least a first and change. You'd still have to pay him 800k a year I'd say.I think you’ll struggle to find a buyer of Darcy’s contract. We should have space, both salary and draft capital, if we get rid of Sean Darcy. I reckon it will be tempting. Erasmus could also go if he doesn't crack the best 22 this year. (Admittedly not for much draft capital).

Had heard the same previously but doesn’t seem like a Geelong ruckman, seem to prefer the more mobile multi positional types. Would be very surprised if they handed over a 1R with their trade history, as you say would depend how much of the salary Freo are prepared to contribute. Won't have that first if we get ChadThe best thing for us would be Melbourne tell us to **** off…This year.
We then hope Chad is ready to FLAGMANTLE.
And we have another look at Kozzie next year when we’re all about Robinson and ready to get rid of our first…
At the time of trades itll be 2 years difference - actually a year and 5 months. Pretty close in age. Dont be deceptive like thatYou conveniently forgot to mention also nearly 3 years younger
Pick #3 + #30 who you taking Bolton or Warner
Cox AND Darcy maybe?I still think both is possible but a player of quality will have to go. (Not Brayshaw). Cox or Darcy maybe?
Lets see who is correct at the end of the trade of it happensAt the time of trades itll be 2 years difference - actually a year and 5 months. Pretty close in age. Dont be deceptive like that
Obviously taking Warner, but whats that got to do with what I said before?
Bolton contracted = costs more than normal
Warner uncontracted so doesnt cost more than normal
If they cost the same in trade assets, then the uncontracted Warner is better value
OKLets see who is correct at the end of the trade of it happens
I was correct on Bakers trade and also on Bolton and confident that Warner will be min top 5 pick if not more
Yes? Not 3 years, the age difference isnt that muchtalk about being 'deceptive' a year and 5 months lol
Nobody suggested he'd be cheap???Warner has 8 years of football , He will not be coming cheap both picks and cash
Well thats whats been fueling this thread the last how many pages ?OK

Is pick 12ish + a bottom 4 teams f1 pick not a substantial offer?Well thats whats been fueling this thread the last how many pages ?
eagles supporters delusionally thinking they can get him without using a top 5 pick
No Chance that happens and your Hawks pick and F1 wont cut it
The big question is if Melbourne perform in 2025 or if you slide further and the wheels fall off. I assume you will have a new coach if it is the later and it will probably be a good opportunity to cash in on any players who don’t want to be there. Not to mention Richmond happily having a fire sale to refresh there list opposed to Demons holding almost every contracted player who wants out they can.
Pickett not a need with the arrival of Matt Owies
You just don't get anything pushing players out and Freo aren't the club that can push players out that want to be here. It's possible in the same sense it's possible to win the lottery IMO.I still think both is possible but a player of quality will have to go. (Not Brayshaw). Cox or Darcy maybe?
I don't understand all of this Flagmantle talk. I heard it last year after you poached Luke Jackson and you guys came 10th.The best thing for us would be Melbourne tell us to **** off…This year.

Yeah, but usually someone of decent quality leaves unexpectedly. We didn't see Shultz going and it got us a decent draft return, same with Brad Hill, Lachie Neale (which wasn't ideal) Griffin Logue, Adam Cerra and the list goes on. The last offseason is the first one in 4 or 5 years it hasn't happened. You just don't get anything pushing players out and Freo aren't the club that can push players out that want to be here. Absolutely, but I'm sure the club would be creative enough to back-end deals to anyone coming in for the first few years to free up the space to pay the first few years of Darcy's salary.Had heard the same previously but doesn’t seem like a Geelong ruckman, seem to prefer the more mobile multi positional types. I'm not the one saying FlagDees...I think you need to stop worrying about freo and start worrying about the dees
Is he really though? This is hilarious. Darcy is going nowhere. He is also more important to the side than Pickett if it comes to that.
Cox I guess could be possible given the KPDs coming through: Draper looks a beauty.

If Geelong wanted him I'm sure they would hand over a first rounder (something like a pick 10) as (a) he's going to command pretty big money and (b) he's still fairly young. The problem is if he has a good year I don't think the Dockers will want to get rid of him which I personally think is a mistake as no other team in the comp ties up 2 ruckman on big salaries.
