- Thrilled with the Vodafone sponsorship.
- Said the place had absolutely changed since JB has been in charge. Said JB has followed through with everything he said he would do.

Speaking of the on-field side:
- Hopes to be a high scoring team again.
- Doesn't want Thommo to be the sole focus of the forward line. 25-30 goals from him would be the goal.

- Said he gets very frustrated with all our wins getting put down to Shinboner Spirit.
- Said every season he's coached his sides have been picked to finish bottom 4, even though he's sitting on a 50% success record and has made the finals twice.

Asked him about Jesse Smith:
- Best footy will be in the midfield.
- Has done nothing in the last 5-6 weeks.
- Won't be doing much in the next few weeks and then will slowly get back into it.

NAB Cup:
- Thinks its a good comp to take part in.
- Will play 4-5 kids.
- Gave the intra-club match a plug today and said spots for NAB round 1 were up for grabs.

Memberships:
- Knew the tally of 19500.
- Said 8000 of them are new.
- Said 10000 from last year are yet to renew. If they all get on board, 30000 is realistic.
- The SEN boys gave the membership line a plug twice.

Thanks MBP.

And Eugene Arocca was on SEN last night after 6pm for a decent stint with Ox & Frank.

Covered the same territory that JB did on 3AW - plus spoke a bit more in depth re: Vodafone, sponsorship structure, membership values, revenue etc without giving away too many inside secrets. Plus was grilled on his stance re: Pokies, and if they are a part of the plan to grow non footy revenue.

Played a pretty straight bat, didn't say whether we were going down this path, but made it quite clear that he seems them as a viable and a low risk investment from his background at Collingwood.

Good summary Mbp. The only other thing he mentioned that I remember, was that 3 players may not be ready for round 1 of the NAB. Two of them were Firrito and McIntosh, I can't remember the third.

Is that just precautionary? or has he re hurt his ankle?

He has aggravated it and is six weeks behind.

Laidley mentioned it in the Tormey article on kangaroos.com.au

Right after the SEN interview I tuned in to 927 and heard JB interviewed by Michael Christian and Angela Pippos (or Ang and Chrisso as JB called them). Very positive (as usual).

JB said the round Australia fundraiser would mainly be him and Arch.

He said Laids wanted him to do what he undertook to do and mingle with the players from time to time during the week ( to hear their issues firsthand).

Sounded like these were two things Duffman didn't do.
