Imagine this tomorrow.

GWS lose.

Carlton lose.

Sometime in the last quarter of the Fremantle vs Port Adelaide the scores are tied.

Both teams have an incentive just to play kick to kick and not have any injuries as one gets top 2 and the other gets into the 8.

If both teams play for the draw there is nothing really the AFL can do about it.

This is a pretty good pick up, would not happen from integrity but interesting scenario if they do get the draw by chance.

And if Giants win?

West Germany and Austria 1982 like this post. Algeria 1982 doesn’t.

And like the ‘Disgrace of Gijón’ it would need an appropriate controversy title.

Just workshopping a couple here, how about the ‘Disgrace of Swan River’ or the ‘Optus Oval Oligopoly’?

Great point, but that would be all the AFL's doing.

If integrity was important to Headquarters, they'd change a number of things, including playing all the final round games at the same time on the same day.

I'd love to see all 9 games kick off at the same time on a Saturday arvo..but alas the nose on 360 would throw an all time hissy-fit.

This is the sort of thing I love about life on planet earth.

DrawFC loves this

If Dogs and Saints win I will be having a crack at Freo winning by 1-24 to ease my anger levels of not stomping all over WC yesterday to make up the percentage on port.

Bringing back memories of 2021, where an insane final 40 seconds culminated in a pack mark to Gawn and us going from minor premiers, to a third and an away qualifying final in the final 20 seconds of the H&A season.

Here’s another one.

Carlton lead by a point
St Kilda have a kick after the siren to win.
A goal gives Freo a shot at a finals spot, but will cost St Kilda 2 draft spots and a harder draw next year.

The kick goes through for a point “accidentally”.
Saints keep their pick 5 and easier draw, and Freo keep their chance at a finals spot.
