Anybody else played this? I'm seriously hooked. Just finished episode 2 and some of these choices are ****ing intense.

Two major things I'm enjoying so far: (1) the fact that choices have consequences all throughout the game; and (2) that it really rewards exploration/being a bit of a "completionist":
I'm going through and reading/listening to/talking to pretty much everything/everybody and really paying attention to the pieces of information that I gather. Doing so let me talk Kate off the roof with relative ease and that wouldn't have been possible for somebody that hadn't searched her room properly and paid attention to the notes and such. Really great implementation of choice and exploration.

For anybody that hasn't played/don't know much about it, if you enjoy Telltale games, you should pick this up. Fantastic choice system, great story and establishes an emotional connection with the game and its characters with ease.

"Choices have consequences all throughout the game" so is it anything like The Walking Dead games?
Similar in that they're both story-focused games and you're made to make choices that impact the course of the game. That said, from what I've played so far there are considerably more choices than in TWD and such, and some of them change the game to a much greater extent. The thing with Telltale games is that they make you think you have choice but a lot of the time the same thing happens whichever option you pick, just in a slightly different way. In this game it appears that your selections can decide who survives; who your friends and enemies are; what happens to others, etc.

It's not quite as well constructed as the Telltale games but the choice system so far is the best of any game I've played.

Got the demo, need to find time to play it.

Is the save system similar to games of this ilk in that it autosaves at regular intervals when major decisions are made?

It's...similar. I don't want to spoil too much but you have a chance to change your major decisions immediately after they're made, but once you leave the area it autosaves.

It was 4 chapters of great. One chapter (5) of complete stupidity.

I absolutely hate the last chapter of this game.
That's disappointing to hear. Hopefully I don't think it's that bad as I'm rather attached to the game already. :p

Life is...weird
It filled me with feels that I had to rewatch The Best Friends play Beyond Two Souls to cheer myself up.

Before I get myself in trouble, I was very impressed with the puzzle-solving aspects of this game. Knowing how to rewind to the right spot and make the right move (or same move at the right time) was nerve-wracking.

Yeah was a good little game though ep 5 was maybe a bit of a let down. One of the possible endings too was kind of silly IMO. Well maybe not silly but you could tell one ending was given a lot more time and development than the other.

Definitely captures the feels though. Interesting characters and gameplay. Definitely recommend it.

Easy platinum for those trophy hunters too. :p

I think it is one of the best character driven games I have played. I am only up to the start of episode 4 because I started playing early and I was waiting ages for them to release each episode so I feel like I have to replay the whole thing from the start so I can remember the story properly.

Just picked this up the other day after finishing The Wolf Among Us and craving something similar.

I am only three episodes in, each one has wiped me out for a day. I am impressed it has managed to maintain quite a lot of its mystique this far in too. With only two episodes left, I would have thought it would be hurrying to wrap up one or both the two major mysteries, but instead it just turned the whole game on its head. It's some really nice storytelling.
