Dallziel last yr and Rich this yr? I liked last yrs squad a lot better, Voss should have left it alone
to many are leaving or asking to leave........hit the nail on the head Adrian........Voss, love him as a player but have not been totaly convinced yet as a coach. Do like his honesty and his media stuff, but not sure he has the talent as a list manager

Maybe he seen the writting on the wall. Lions are in a mess and on the way down, Eagles are well and truly into their rebuild (3yrs) and will start the climb back up the ladder.

He also may like to link up with his mate Masten and NickNat in the Eagles centre square combo going forward and no doubt the Eagles would have thrown some serious coin at him with any offer.

The only way the Lions would entertain this is if Rich in his end of season interview expressed concerns / reservations ....... something  to make the Lions consider trading him.

No way would the club have instigated a trade.

Would love him at the Eagles but I won't hold my breath, happy to pay pick 4 for him.

More delusional posts from you. Even though you've been rebuilding for the past 3 years what have you got from it? Brisbane have a much better list than you do and have a better range of young kids from just the one draft.

The thing is the Lions don't need to finish last to bottom out... I reckon we bottomed out around July-August and have been improving (albeit slowly) since then IMO.

I blame Craig Hutchison… I had never doubted that at some stage Lyon was going to be infected by the endemic non-alembic Hutchy.

Is it just a Gary Lyon suggestion/extension from the Worsfold has not ruled out trading away the Eagles' first-round draft pick story of a month ago? He goes on to include those that in his opinion may fall into a ‘worthy of this pick’ plus ‘might be enticed by a go home’ factor.

What are the chances he has just gone to his excel spreadsheet and clicked data-filter-auto filter-custom-contains “WA”.

He seems to be yet another who has jumped onto the raft of thinking currently sailing the sporting pages regarding the current kick a cat campaign [fe-L10N] and a perceived mass exodus out of BrisVegas.

Devils advocate :eek::

Rich does have a fairly low ceiling......but if he kicks it 70m a metre off the ground he won't hit it :p

In all seriousness, I don't think he'll be going anywhere; but, maybe, just maybe, the Lions have their heart set on a player that they know/think will be better than Rich in the long run

Maybe a CHF to lead the next generation after Brown/Fev are no longer there.

Sam Day would be the only real prospect with regards to taking the mantle once Brown is gone, but he's off to the Gold Coast within the first three picks.

I just can't see this rumour being anywhere near the truth.

Ludicrous. Rich has enormous upside, and he was doing a good job at countering the heavy tag toward the end of the year for a second year player.

Is this "better list" before Richetelli, Brennan, Sherman and Rich have bailed out left and Fev is sacked or after?:D

Lions are looking to start a rebuild now? With and GWS cherry picking.

Good move.:thumbsu:

Eagles started 3 years ago. What have we got from it, a swag of young talent that has their best football ahead of them, many of which will be hitting the 50 game mark next year.

And you call me delusional.

Their are no guarantees in the draft, ie Tambling, JON etc etc, but I see your point.

Rich has enormous upside (disagree; he has upside as a 2 year player, but it's not enormous.) and he was doing a good job at countering the heavy tag toward the end of the year for a second year player.(fully agree)[/quote]

Any.

With Brennan, Risha and Sherman leaving it'll give us some cap space and good draft picks.

No need to rebuild now. 08 and 09 drafts have helpt us a lot and with a lot of top picks in this draft i expect more quality kids to join.

I think he’s trying to say that given the 3 years of rebuilding, you would have expected more from your list! I think that a fair argument, still that’s a matter of opinion:D, being a lions supporter I will always say our list is better evidence aside.

Natanui

All will hit 50 games next year if they play 20 games.

Shuey, Swift, Sheppard and Schofield will all be hitting 30+ games.
