Not sure it's worth getting involved there mate. Despite the fact Obeanie1 is most definitely trolling the whole argument is pointless.

Brisbane supporters will just say our list of names (let's say Leuenberger, Clark, Rich, Redden, Cornelius, Rockliff, Hardwood, Polkinghorne, etc) is clearer better than yours then a WC supporter will disagree, despite neither knowing very much about the players on the other teams list. That list of Obeanie1's doesn't necessarily impress me but you would probably say the same about ours (although it is a common myth that Brisbane has no good younger players, 2008 looking a particularly good draft for us). It's a pointless shitfight at the best of times but especially on the Brisbane board.

There is no way the Lions would trade Rich unless he's told Voss that he wants to return to WA, which happens mostly with the Western Australians than anyone else.

I'd say you're going to get good picks for Brennan, Rischitelli and Sherman (didn't know he was leaving). Unless he wants out, Rich wont be let go for a draft pick you'd think.

No point in comparing youngsters, i'd be more concerned about the current issues facing our clubs than throwing crap at each other. If Voss is considering the trade it would only be due to the "go home factor" which may or may not be relevant. Could another contract have been offered to him? has he refused for time being? have west coast contacted him? Has he told them he is happy at Bris? Tis the crazy season and until i hear it from the clubs mouth or player/manager i don't believe a word of it. If he does want to leave which i seriously doubt pick 4 is a fair trade.

I know zip about potential draft picks, and relative trade values etc which is why I have nothing to contribute on the relevant threads.

However, if, IF, Voss and/or whoever is seriously floating the idea of trading Rich for I don't care who or what, then this is the point the new Chair steps in and asks- "have you all taken leave of your senses?"

Now Rischitelli is one thing, and Brennan another [although his apparent demand that his new club, wherever that might be, play him in his preferred position shows he has some totally off the planet delusions of grandeur] but to trade the crown jewels as Rich undoubtedly is would be an act of madness.

The appointment of the Birdman to the Physical Conditioning role is a wise investment for the club. Rich will benefit directly as he matures under the management of our new fitness guru. It should yield us some good dividends over the next few years. The more we invest in our youth and leave it to the Birdman to run it through the current depression the richer we will become.
