Make no mistake, had the team had a genuine run of bad results (4+ losses on the bounce) the media would be all over it like white on rice that it is clear evidence of the players not playing for Hird as a result of their misplaced trust in him being betrayed when he allowed blah blah blah....Caro probably has a '4th loss in a row? Hird has lost the players' file just patiently waiting to reveal itself.
I still believe that not enough has been made out of the fact that the players clearly want to play for Hird. If them playing badly (especially when the heat is on, as it has been for a lot of games this season) is a sign that he has lost them, then surely the polar opposite has to be that he has done anything but lose them. Again, I believe that whilst the club will cop its fair whack for poor governance, if no other major sanctions are slapped on the club, we could emerge from this as a ruthless, hardened machine of a team that will take all before it in the next few years.

From both our results in the west this season it is blatently obvious that a player mutiny is imminent. I can not believe the utter and total contempt being shown towards the skipper and coaching staff (Hird in particular) by the playing group.

sure beats the hell out of everyone getting injured and losing all the time... whatever the result as long as Jobe keeps his Chas... and we are not effected next season (willing to lose draft picks), then who cares about this year.. we are an outside shot, but unlikely, will take it if its there though.. being robbed of points this year might make them come out next season 2000 style...

Can't believe those idiots are saying thing to the effect that Hird may not be coach next year. Hird not being coach next year will do more damage to the club than any fines or suspensions of players. And a crap load more damage to membership than keeping knights would have.
You know what, whilst I don't want him to lose that brownlow, if it did could have very positive outcomes.
The fire that would be lit within every player and fan of the club would be enormous and IMO unstoppable.
It would hark back to 2000 in respect of attitude in that we had been robbed of something that ultimately was ours (a la the '99 premiership). No singing of the club song until we took back what was ours.
I dare the AFL to take it away, opposition fans & media be damned!
