No offence to Davey but Lovett has more strings to his bow. Both fast, know where the goals are and can split a game wide open but Lovett's skills are sublime and he can easily rack up possessions on the wing.

Your thoughts...

Krakouer > Davey >Lovett.

For the record:

Lovett-Murray 22yoa (11 Nov 1982)
Krakouer 22 yoa (4 Feb 1983)
Davey 21 (10 Jun 1983)

People forgot how old Lovett-Murray is

:)

idiot!

Both Davey and Lovett look very promising exciting footballers, haven't seen enough of them yet still too early in the season and not to mention their careers to compare them.

And his 05 average would have been much lower before the game against Carlton correct?

Obviously.

He was only getting around 5 to 10 possesions in the first half dozen rounds also.

Description Date Opponent Result Kicks Hbl Disp Marks

Round 7 7th May Carlton Win 151-66 7 6 13 3 5
Round 6 1st May Port Adelaide Win 123-67 11 4 15 2 0
Round 4 17th Apr Fremantle Win 100-52 13 2 15 7 0
Round 3 10th Apr Western Bulldogs Win 88-84 14 5 19 4 2

Im not sold on Krak but he often gets judged hashly for a bloke thats only just turned 22. He is the same age as the likes of Medhurst, Davey Lovett and co. yet they are often talked about in a younger sence.

Also, he spends limited time in the midfeild does a good job (top 10 in tackles in the AFL last year) playing much time as a forward pocket where its not easy to get touches.

Ok 4 games out of 7, he's played pretty good, the others, not so good. I think the thing with him, is that he burst onto the scene when he was about 19, and there hasn't been a huge improvement with him since, hence why Davey and Lovett are being mentioned so much now. He probably doesn't have the same burst of acceleration as those two either.

mate the guy has played six games. bit early to start making calls like this. He has kicked six goals and has an average of 12 possies per game. Had 12 tackels for his six games.

Davey has played seven this year. kicked 12 goals with an average of 10 possies per game. Also had 16 tackles in his seven games

Hardly a lot of difference between the two but a bit rich to start carping that one has more strings to the bow than the other because the stats would say Davey is better in front of goal and defensively.

whats people think of tambling after 2 games if you seen him

going to be a star. a bit like a lot of other aboriginal kids. just seems to know where the ball is and knows where to put it to advantage of team mates he has never played with in a match environment before.

very smart footy brain and has the ball on a string when he gets it. magic to watch a lot of these aboriginal kids. brings people through the gates.

Why bring krakour into this he doesnt play the same way those guys play so why compare em mate everything doesnt have to be about richmond the point of this was to compare players who play in a similair way and krakour aint fast enough to play the way they do (thats what tambling is for in a few years)

Of course...

But I think people seem to forget how old Davey and Lovett sometimes in comparison with Medhurst, Krakouer etc.

:)

There is a difference between the age on your birth certificate and your development in AFL football.
Experience and games increases development, not birthdays.

What you should be comparing is -
Medhurst (who is 23 by the way) 72 games.
Krakouer 63 games.
Davey 26 games.
Lovett 5 games.

One is a midfielder/forward and the other will be mostly a forward, hard to compare them.

Get back to me in three years and i'll tell you who is the better footballer. At the moment they are two exciting footballers just starting out their careers.

Sir, you speak sense!

its comparing apples and oranges to be honest.

Milne=Rapist

Cousins + Gardiner = Underworld figures
Kerr = fraud
Lynch = drunk driving or was it speeding?
There is another one but I can't remember it.

All those are true Milne = Rapist is not since there was no conviction.
Therefore I think you should run along to school.

Milne > Davey+Lovett

End of thread.

if he is so good why did he spend time in the twos last year and why did he spend so much time on the bench last week.

Milne is a one hit wonder bit like Medhurst and whilst they do what they need to at times by kicking goals they do not have the defensive side that Davey in particular has (haven't seen enough of Lovett to know what his defensive side really is like)

When was the last time you saw Milne run half way up the ground to chase someone.

Milne is over rated in my opinion and a selfish footballer.
