Really excited by this. I'm a firm believer that innovation and getting the jump on other clubs comes from people outside the standard AFL pathways. Sounds like Luke is just that, someone who has built on their education with relative success in the industry. Was at the Dogs when they won the flag and Giants when they made the Grand Final.

Absolutely love the idea of a smarter head in the coaches box.

The appointment sounds like a good one, but I'm not going to lie. I hate a lot of what the Giants do, and feel like they are as unstructured and poorly coached as anyone. So in terms of locations to pinch a coach from I couldn't think of a worse one.

But hey, hopefully he's a guru and can do a great job with us. Feels like our midfield have been strong systematically for years, but that explosive side has been absent. Hopefully change can spark it up.
