We have this happen every year, if we kept our better players since we started we'd have a top team. Our AFLW is a basket case.

Yep, loyalty is not there yet. The amount of player movement is the main reason I don’t watch women’s football anymore. Big Bash Cricket is the same and can’t find a reason to support a team with all the player changes each years.

Hard to emotionally invest in women's footy. I enjoy women's sports generally but I have no time for AFLW. This is just another example of why that is the case.

Half the Adelaide team will end up with Port. But they at least won three premierships.

Given how poor our VFLW team is, this expansion is going to destroy us.

There needed to be a better way to introduce new clubs without completely destroying the clubs who were willing to be bold enough to go first.

One of the main reasons I can't bring myself to invest emotionally in the AFLW. Maybe in 10 years when the comp is fully fleshed out and stable, things will improve, but as it stands it feels like you're supporting a different team every season.

Flow on effects for the standard of play too, because how can teams improve strategically when the turnover is so high, especially amongst the top tier - exacerbated by them being part time athletes. Want to improve connection between defense and mid, mid and forward? Good luck. Basically have to hope that a few elite players can carry us.
