Well, he played in the NEAFL today and absolutely dominated. Back in contention for Round 1.

With everyone having totally restructured their teams after he was injured - where to from here?? Will you take the risk and bring him back in for the big cash injection, or not worth the risk??

i'm keeping him, as if he plays he will be an absolute cash cow.

The cash injection into another premium is priceless

Quote from Supercoach Paige "Matthew Leuenberger played in the reserves today, dominating all facets and is over the back stiffness and calf complains that caused him to miss two NAB Cup games. He is right back in contention for round 1!" - That's where I got my information from.

According to that article you quoted, alkanphel, he did his calf in NAB 1 (we all knew that), not in the game he played yesterday, where we came out unscathed.

I can only go on the information available, and if he's played a match, or half a match, two weeks out from the start of the season, surely he's in contention for Round 1. Let's not distort my words in to something they're not. The question from my original post still remains.

I've got him on my bench for round one, however I'll place him into the playing twenty-two if he is named in Brisbane's round one squad.

What to do if Leuenberger does not play. Options are to play a MPP forward/ruck premium, awkwardly-priced rucks (i.e. Josh Jenkins), upgrade to a premium ruckman, keep Leuenberger on the bench and opt to play a rookie ruckman, or to combine the options listed.

I'm gonna role the dice. Only trying to win the league between mates and they're all muppets. If he doesn't play Cox to ruck and Spangher into the forwards as I rekon he'll play against the Cats.

Thing is you won't know if Leuenburger plays till Cox has already played.

By then Cox will have played and will be stuck in your forward line.

I wouldn't risk it, I reckon he'll end up playing about as consistently as any of the rookie priced rucks i.e. not very.

So you starting him on the ground and crossing everything he plays?

If he doesnt play who are your bench backups? I currently have Cox in the fwd line but can swap him into the ruck after he plays tomorrow.

Not sure I am willing to risk a donut for him.
If he's not there round 1, he'll be there round 2. Underpriced and could average around the 90 mark. Don't think any of the rookies are safe enough to have on the ground and won't make enough money. In case he doesn't play I have Blicavs and Rowe/Currie on the bench.
