Mate you’ve got a SANFL persecution complex!
Who? And not that who.
Penbo has spoken about Big footy on air before and it wasnt high praise, it was a couple years ago and i dont remember what he said though
If you’re interested in alternative viewpoints then why the heck are you mocking my alternative view point?
I come on here for a discussion, doesn’t mean I have to absorb others’ opinions. You think what you want to think, and I do my own thinking.
It is true though that there is a massive persecution complex in SA footy.
I think the mentality goes back to the late 80s when the SA footy media were massively pushing the Anti-Victoria narrative and used to claim that Victoria was jealous of SA and how their ultimate goal was to "destroy the SANFL". I suspect the SANFL were very much part of it too.
While promoting that mentality used to work a treat to promote the State of Origin games, unfortunately that mentality eventually became endemic with the SA football public and created a culture of having a persecution complex and people believing that the AFL has some sort of hidden agenda against the Crows for some inexplicable reason.
I've seen people on here who actually believe that the AFL has some secret agenda against the club and everything is part of some big conspiracy to ensure that the Crows aren't successful.
Mate you’ve got a SANFL persecution complex!
You reckon we can’t afford decent coaches? Paying under the soft cap? There's no complex, you tell me what other club has the financial burden we do to the SANFL.
We've had our competitive advantage eaten away through paying about 15 million for an AFL licence, not to mention one of the worst stadium deals in football, paying for stands at Footy Park and also paying 500k a year to play in the SANFL etc the list goes on and on
No point whinging about having s**t coaches if you have no problem with us giving away money and having the burden of having to foot the bill for things no other club has to pay. Ultimately its more than likely a big reason why we can't afford to splurge for decent coaches.
It's a money gameI agree, the Sanfl was heavily anti-victorian throughout that time and even in the 90s it took a long time for clubs to come around to the idea of the AFL as some teams treated AFL listed players very poorly. Norwood being one of them.
There is no AFL agenda against the Crows. As one of the richer and most supported clubs in the competition, the AFL tends to use us a lot to pump up ratings in low market areas and obviously play our home games in average time slots because they know our fans turn up. if anything it is actually a compliment and says a lot about victorian clubs who if they dont get the prime time slot, cant attract a crowd.
The umpiring issues are merely bad luck, exacerbated by us consistently chasing games under Nicks. The only real inexcusable decision was the goal umpire. Other than that, we have been our own worst enemy. To blame the umpires is to completely over look the flaws in our game plan.
It's a money game
The AFL's fortunes don't rise or fall on our performances as they do with Essendon, Richmond, Carlton, Collingwood. So the AFL has no vested interest in seeing us succeed.
Likewise we do not become a financial burden when we're struggling like Bulldogs, Port. So the AFL has no vested interest in lifting us out of the mire during down times.
Whether these financial realities have an impact on AFL decision making...? In the eye of the beholder I guess.
Regarding umpire bias, we've seen this occur with Jack Ginnivan. Not getting the frees he deserves because of his previous actions. Umpires now have a subconscious bias against him.
We know why it happened with him (boy who cried wolf) but what other biases exist?
It was telling that after the Pannell 17-1 free kick game the umpire head honcho was asked if individual umpire's free kick histories were tracked to detect bias towards or against certain clubs. "No... why would we need to do that? The umpires aren't biased," was the response.
Hmmm.
The individual umpire free kick tallies are hidden from view. Pannellgate only occurred because some whistle-blower took a screen shot during the closing stages of the match. The data is not available anywhere publicly. Quite deliberately I'm sure.
"those football nerds who don't have lives that just spend their lives sitting around all day on forums over analyzing football"
And yet his on air mate posts here regularlyYou're right it wasn't positive praise.
He called us something along the lines of "Football Nerds" and said something similar to "those football nerds who don't have lives that just spend their lives sitting around all day on forums over analyzing football"
Sorry to do this, but #Crowbloke is the common factor, mate.

Such a disappointing club. You’d think they’d have given us something over the journey.
B&F? Nup
Captain? Nope
Leading goal kicker? Nada
We’re not counting Tex, Nord was just his temporary club while Neil taught him how to keep his man boundary side.
Here’s the best part- One single solitary lonely all Australian selection - Nathan Bassett. One!
James Tiffany Amber Thiessen can’t even spell his surname right.
Some say Brett James was a great footballer, can you even be called a great footballer if you only handball?
Pitman was pathetic.
I keep hearing about Gary the GOAT but can’t for the life of me see what AFL club he played for. Do you mean Ablett? The other best player was a skinny religious fella who also didn’t play at the top level. I sense a pattern.
As far as I can tell, the only thing Nord has contributed to the AFC is two thirds of the club colours.

Who!What?
Who!
George says it’s him but I have my doubtsI don’t know
I'm prepared to offer the coaches job to most of our BF board. It's full of old crow blokes...and a few old crow gals too.
Smash his face inGeorge Kramer What should we do with this prick?
Smash his face in
Definitely not
Sorry to do this, but #Crowbloke is the common factor, mate.
==> becomes #Crowbloke(old +1)
btw, I'd like to thank all of the posters who asked me for the solution to this**:
"Which is the larger number, 2^60 or 7^20?".
It's easier than it looks.
The clue is in the Exponents' bases.
2^60 is (2^3)^20, which is 8^20 which is larger than 7^20, by inspection.
** all none of you,
"Old" is right .60 log(2) ~= 18.06 > 20 log(7) ~= 16.9
Isn't that easier old mate
I understand your solution just fine --- it is correct --- but I didn't need "the new ways".maybe you gotta learn the new ways
2 minutes at mostAs part of my preamble with a new Maths class at the start of the year, I'd choose students at random and say,
what's 25 x 17?
what's 25 x 74?
what's 25 x 43?
