Off the ball
High contact
Medium impact.

And lol at Bruce McAvaney. Next possesion Maxwell gets, Hawks fans boo him and McAvaney reckons its cos he is the Collingwood captain.... yeah nice deflection Bruce...

You're forgetting the Barry Hall finals rule. This rule means Maxwell will be given a pass and will be free to play the semi.

I recon roughie will get 1 like Steve J and Maxwell will get two. This will mean both will be available for the GF if they make it. Although it's all chook lotto with the MRP.
I,m waiting on Ross Lyons view before I make any judgements

But what should he get?

Zero?

Strike (possible elbow - hopefully MRP doesn't guess at it though) behind play - classified automatically as intentional

Force - Puopolo drew blood, so it won't be thrown out under the pretence of "force not enough to constitute a report" (I can only think of one example where someone didn't get that - Judd/Pavlich and completely different to this) - so maybe medium contact.

Contact - clearly to the head, even from limited footage

Off the ball

So intentional, medium force, high contact = couple of weeks I think - early guilty plea, not sure of record - don't think Maxwell has any points though so he should be right there. My prediction (read; not necessarily my opinion): 2 weeks

Yes, I see that. But in the way I remember the game that was just a body check to prevent an opponent from running forward. Maxwell could reasonable argue that he was turning in the other direction. Why is it up to Maxwell to get out of the way?

(BTW, I HATE Maxwell, but I think it was soft, as was Johnson's last week).

Maxwell doesn't have either a good or bad record.

He either gets nothing or at best he'll get two weeks.

High Contact, Intentional (only due to the Ottens rule), Low Impact - 6 activation points, level 3 ROugh Conduct - which is 325

Down to 243 with a plea

My only issue, firstly I don't think he meant any malice whatsoever - he was clearly trying to block the space and keeping Puopolo away from the ball. To then get assigned 3 activation points (for the intentional aspect) on the back of something which has zero malice is just poor.

FOr mine (at most) that should be negligent, High, low - 4 activation points - level 1 rough conduct which becomes 93 points with a plea

It's soft without a doubt, but blokes have been getting suspended for it this year. It's all about "what are your options" and "should they expect contact". Hence why damage can get done as the bloke on the receiving end isn't bracing for impact. From memory, Conca got done preseason and SJ last week which didn't even hurt the player.

Roughead is gone. Pretty much exact same situation as Johnsons, except more of a hit than a bump which makes it worse. Unless of course the AFL wants to make an even greater mockery of the MRP and show everyone how corrupt it is.

On the contrary - as strike is treated as less of an incident than a bump

EG a level 1 strike is 80 points, a level 1 rough conduct (bump) is 125 points
