He stood out in two flags, didn’t win them on his own
He had 2 Norm Smith medals

If you don't respect your past you won't have any future

No wonder the Power fans keep calling us a franchise

He won us 2 flags idiot
+1

Literally.

Not just that. He WAS best on ground in both. Back to back.

No player is bigger than the Club, however, we should have EXHAUSTED ALL avenues before letting this play out the way it has.

Even getting a mediator is something I would have done, given it is McLeod. Not many explayers deserve this, but he is one of them.

Isnt that the same thing. No one would ever say he won them on his own. you are just nit picking. Macca needs to be involved at the club. especially involved with indigenous kids. Watch out if we ignore the indigenous players. It will further hurt the club.

Disrespecting McLeod is akin to disrespecting Ebert or Cahill at that plastic franchise at Alberton.

I suppose you think everything is going fine at the club and was at its finest last year?
I tend to think they’ve tried but it’s intractable. I doubt we’ll really ever know what’s up. I read Black Crow and he had a chance to clear that original mess up but I was none the wiser after that, because the other party’s version doesn’t match up either. I’m thinking he’s asking for something not possible to be given. 🤷🏻‍♂️

does anyone have the anti paywall thing?
Adelaide has severed all official ties with champion Andrew McLeod after the double premiership player heavily criticised the club this year.

The Crows did not reappoint the dual Norm Smith medallist as an AFLW assistant coach for next year after telling the club great it would no longer be able to support the McLeod Centre of Excellence programs for Indigenous youth.

Neither the club nor McLeod would speak or could be contacted about the split this week.

The 340-game superstar, arguably the Crows greatest player, was publicly critical of the club’s culture and environment on three explosive podcasts in June.

It is understood much of McLeod’s current issues with the Crows centre on club senior management.

“It’s not a place you feel like it embraces you as a past player,” McLeod said on his weekly podcast Bunji & Brettster.

Since the final formal link to the Crows ended, McLeod has fielded several approaches from SANFL teams and suburban clubs to join their coaching staff.

“It’s not about the past players program, it’s not because I’m not social and need to get off my arse, or that I’m a ‘temperamental soul’ – this twisting and deflecting just needs to stop,” McLeod said. “I’ve never called out anyone personally, I just implored them to heed the advice of their own internal review to learn and improve. But in return, I received comments from club officials about my personality and my actions."

“For me, this is the exact problem with the club – the lack of genuine willingness to listen, self-reflect and improve.”

More and more we seem to have a kangaroo sized problem.

Can anyone verify this, As I thought the Crows shut down the Program Macca and his wife were involved in before June due to the financial constraints with Covid,

If so then the article missed an important piece of information,

Oh is that it. Who’s taken on his role then? And why have all but 2 directors resigned from Power Communities Ltd?

I think intimately involved is a bit of a stretch?

Doesn't sound like it was by choice either.

“I’m unsure what is next for me from a professional perspective, although I look forward to staying involved in the club at some level to assist with their programs ongoing.”

Only 2 Directors per their ACNC records but their constitution requires a minimum of 3. All but 1 of the directors from the last annual report remain. The other director is the clubs Vice President.

Rats, sinking ship, and so forth.

Listen to his AA interview the other day. More context than a section taken out of a media release.

Sounds like he's really just chosen to reset. Not unusual at the moment... Hes been there for a long time.

Not sure if you're trying to draw a parallel between Vandenbergh looking elsewhere and us telling McLeod he's no longer wanted in any capacity, be it AFLW, indigenous program or past player engagement?
