Former Essendon veteran Mark McVeigh has moved to dispel reports Maria Sharapova used illegal supplements for almost a decade, despite the tennis superstar admitting to doing so in front of world media.

The 232-gamer, who played his entire career at Windy Hill, told Melbourne's SEN radio that he never had any concerns about the supplements Sharapova, whom he has never met, took.

"I can honestly tell you that everything she took - and I can speak on her behalf obviously - I knew 100 per cent that it was within the WADA doping regulations," he said. "And was vitamins anyway. Vitamins. She is so brave and vitamins."

McVeigh was then quoted saying former teamate Kyle Reimers was a "snitch campaigner", before being dragged away from journalists and sedated, screaming intelligibly about standing "by Hird", "big Jezza Cameron" and "vitamins".

First thing I remembered when I heard the news of Sharapova was the story of when drug testers visited Serena Williams' house, and she freaked out so badly she locked herself in her panic room. No way can any woman build a body like hers without chemical assistance, so its hard to blame Sharapova for taking a risk because she wants to compete on a level playing field.

As I'm sure posters like blackcat & RussellEbertHandball would agree, and they could also talk about Nadal & so many others.

Don't tag Blackcat here! He might mention Ollie Wines in the same sentence as PEDs and I'll have a dozen new reports to handle from enraged Pufferfish! :straining:

Srs q Starburns. Is the rate of button mashing high or low on the bay, compared to elsewhere?

I reckon there'd be some great stats on button mashing on BF that would paint some pretty cool pictures.

I's guess that 'foreigner' posts on team boards would attract the most, especially on precious boards like Ess, Carl and Norf.

HTB would get a lot prob, then maybe main board? SRP?
