Membership 2024

Can anyone tell me about 3 game membership.
A couple of things i would like to know:

Do you get the same seats each year.
If so, do you gain some membership status, like Bronze, Silver, Gold etc. by continual renewal of 3 game membership.
You have to book a new seat online for each game IIRC

We had a 3 game member with us this season, LongLion is right, we usually got them a seat within a few rows of where we were sitting, bit harder to get 2 seats close though.

The second part you do. I've gotten to Gold last I checked by a combination of Supporter and Victorian memberships. Doesn't mean much though
That part is the main one i was interested in.
I am not considering changing from full season membership down to 3 game.
Just working on something regarding membership

Greg Swann said in an interview the other day that membership numbers were up 25% from the same time last year.
Make hay while the sun shines, with the shit that’s coming over the next few years.

Also mentioned a bumper profit posted for this last year.

Anyone tried to get 2024gather round tickets? I’m using 2023 bar codes with no luck. Don’t think I have 2024 codes yet(unless I missed an e-mail)
I got one on Friday.
Also, another arrived this very minute.
Check junk mail.
If nothing has arrived give the club a ring

I had a lot of trouble adding a member and then moving seats for the 2024 season, they overcharged us which I mistakenly paid, multiple emails and long phone calls later we finally moved to slightly worse seating, got the refund through.. and we got 12 membership packs in the mail instead of 6.

All good in the end, the membership staff were very friendly and helpful but there seemed to be a fair bit of inexperience in the people I had to deal with.

One tip to the Lions from me would be that when an enquiry/complaint is made, that you if at all possible deal with the same person each time you contact them.

We usually have 1 seat left on one side of us every year so was thinking of buying a membership for my daughter and see if we can get that seat.
She has just broken up with her boyfriend and they were thinking of getting a membership together this year because they love the footy, but now that have broken up, would it be odd for her to sit next to her Dad instead?
First break ups are hard. 😢

Depends on how embarrassing you act at the footy. No, seriously.

Our group of 6 is me, my son, his wife, my daughter, a woman I used to play Futsal with and her partner.

My son and I issue 1 instruction to the bandwagoners ie. don't talk to us while the game is on.

Membership 'pack' arrived yesterday.

Car sticker has membership level in significantly bigger font than the past couple of years, so that's a positive (at least for me). Kids membership has a backpack (proper 'type', not one of those square looking things) - quality doesn't seem great but the 6yo was happy with it and it will at least get used (by him). Also a drink bottle - quality not great either but he was happy with that too and covered it with all the stickers which came with his membership pack. As usual the small hat pins (or whatever they are), which went straight in the drawer with all the others accumulated over the years.

Have you got some photos? Waiting on my pack.

My hat pin broke in the envelope, not that I wear it. Speaks to the quality of the products.

Every year at the time of membership renewal, I phone the membership department and ask if they please bring back the members card and lanyard.

I clearly explain that it doesn’t have to be a working members card. Just a collectable that identifies years of membership (and I’m just a bronze member, so it’s not like I’m trying to show off with it).

And every year the person I speak try’s to explain membership has gone digital, and there’s no need for physical cards.

Well duh, I acknowledged and explained that at the beginning of my call.

I asked for that as well. Still got the membership pack of sticker and pin.
Excited Puppet GIF by Gerbert!

Yeah it’s been a sticking point for me since they scrapped it. Lanyard with level of membership and the card made me feel proud walking into the ground as a member, not just a supporter like now. And they were collectors items (hey grandson, check out my hat pins). Yep we can use our voucher for a lanyard and cap, but they just say e.g 2022 member.

FWIW my 10yo Hawks member got a cap last year with ‘10 year member’ on it, along with lanyard and card.

Apparently we can still request a card with our membership but I’ve never seen that option on my account.

How to buy the card.
First of all, i could not really tell what is on the card eg. Platinum, Gold, Silver etc or just blank with 2024.
Below steps on how you can purchase the card.
Also, i did not continue on to checkout to see if you can use your Lions voucher.
.....................................................................

Go to Lions site and click on "Membership".
Go to "Member Zone"
Then choose "Update Details"
Scroll down to the very bottom to "Souvenir Card" see image below.
Click "BUY CARD"

Next image is the shopping cart. Note it is $15 not $10 mentioned previously.
That's as far as i went.

Maybe ring the club to see what appears on the card and enquire about voucher use.
Also check if this is the only type of card members can get.
Then make up your mind if it is worth doing.

Last year it was an option to have it donated to a kid (not that my bronze digital gets much, just a pin and a sticker).

Unexpected when it arrived, same as this year.

Just saw a note from the Chairman, felt odd seeing some thank yous Dan Rich/Marcus Adams/Nakia Cockatoo. Nothing for Rhys who I understand is polarising, but had a better influence/impact on this club than Nakia
