The phrase "more money than sense" springs to mind with something like this.

If I was a billionaire I could probably think of a billion other things I would rather spend my money on.
If i had the sort of money floating around id absolutely love to do that dive - but id do my due diligence researching the company involved and id have a hard pass for this one…..

I hope they can reach them in time. Apparently banging sounds have been heard at 30 minute intervals.

Time quickly running out. Hope they locate them tonight.
Even if they locate them, how do they realistically rescue them?

The only way I think they could be saved is if they're 'stuck' on something and they're nudged free. Outside of that, I don't know how they could be saved.

I’ve been reading through reddit and obviously take it with a grain of salt, but someone has advised their company has sent a few remote control machines that were nearby that way, they would have to go a bit deeper than rated ability but the person thinks it would be okay. If they have a winch on a boat nearby and their machine can hook onto something on the vessel, one would hope there’s a chance.

Not sure how much damage from option a v damage from option b would come into effect. They either run out of oxygen, or they run the risk of the tether possibly breaking something off the boat and water gushes in, which from reports would turn them into nothing quicker than they’d realise.

They couldn't afford to pay experienced people, is what I am getting.
I was a little bit surprised at first at how cheap the tickets were. Assuming they were trying to wow the millionaire/billionaire types, I thought prices would be much higher.

Having since seen the operation, it makes perfect sense.

Not to nitpick but the saying is “more dollars than sense” as a play on sense/cents.

This is also completely a nitpick.

Even if they find them it would have to be a staged ascent wouldn't it? To decompress properly? They can't just drag them up to the surface pronto.
Yep need to come back up slowly, imagine if they only have one hour’s oxygen left but it takes two hours to hit the surface

More cooked stuff from the CEO. He's a weird unit

Not much point inspiring if they lack experience

The last person I'd hire would be a millennial I expect everything given to me lazy little using dishwasher fukstik.
Suffer on the bottom of the ocean because I'm a billionaire.
A Hahahahaha Americanisation at its best.

'I asked for a refund - they were cutting too many corners': Friend of Hamish Harding says he pulled out of joining the billionaire on missing OceanGate sub Titan due to 'safety concerns'

CEO probably goes on every trip "Oh well if sh*t hits the fan I won't be around to clean it"

Surely they have killed the CEO by now.

Imagine sitting across from him in that locked coffin with 4,000m of water above you, knowing you just paid him $250,000 to die in the worst way. I can't imagine the feelings they have went through and are currently going through if they are unlucky enough to be alive right now. What a terrible thing.

hooly dooly I've never heard of this before but these guys were rescued with just 12 min of oxygen left

Fingers crossed they not only rescue the sub, but Jack Dawson as well. He's got a bone to pick with Rose.
Hopefully they find that gem that the old lady threw of the ship

If they actually do manage to rescue this crew I’d probably go full tin foil hat and assume that they never went missing and the whole thing is some sort of hoax.
I’m pretty sure the covid vaccine drove them to these depths
