It's not really believable from Gold Coast's pov...That why I reckon the 5 way for 2 and 3 would be good for the Crows. and is believable

Rischitelli is going to be given a rookie spot.Michael Barlow (del)
Josh Jaska (del)
Michael Rischitelli (del)
Matt Rosa (ret)
Max Spencer (del)
Mackenzie Willis (del)
Add to this Lynch, Scrimshaw and potentially May, Martin and Hall.
I thought Rischitelli for one would be offered a rookie spot.
Still adds to the main list spot openings.Rischitelli is going to be given a rookie spot.
How can you be banned for stating a fact?Far out, Carlton banned me for 24hrs for saying SOS has been smelling dylan shiels crack
Worth it

Just a thought, but could the kicker in this speculated pick swap be that Ogilvie will help GCS in picking the right talent with all their picks?
Jaska, Spencer and Willis are all rookies. Plus, Hoskin-Elliot, several fringe Richmond players, Hombsch and a couple of other fringe players at other clubs have all been linked to GC. It seems unlikely they will need more than 5-6 live picks... and they already have plenty of other lower picks to bring in others rejects.Delisted or retired - Barlow, Jaska, Rishitelli, Rosa, Spencer, Willis, then you have the follow group who may or have requested trades, Lynch, May, Scrimshaw, Hall, Maybe Martin, Brodie
That makes up to 12.
At my count they will have 8-10.
If they have picks 5 (May), 8 (us), 16 (us), 17 (WC).. that leaves them with picks 20, 27, 29 and couple of 30s to trade for fringe or better talent.I think them trading 2 & 3 is highly unlikely, the only thing, and this is my wishful thinking I reckon, is that they may want to bring in some mature fringe players from other clubs. And maybe the later draft picks help GC with that?
It's drawing a long bow though....

If Sheil nominates Carlton then GWS trade out Setterfield and Sheil plus pick 13 for pick 1. Pick 13 plus McAdam for Gov (Thats if we have a hard on for McAdam).
If however we accept a late second for Gov and McAdam Reid needs to be sacked along with Roo, Chapman, Fagan, Haas, Burton, Pyke and even that annoying chick who hangs around the fax machine.
You need to just wait until the trade period is done and dusted and judge them over all based on what we end up with. No point going off half cocked before you know the big picture. No doubt Reid Hamish et al do know.
I'm pretty sure Blight had a hard on for Ken. Can't recall the source though, and can't fathom why.
But what $ would hawthorn be offering compared to saints or blues?I also think Shiel is gonna choose Hawthorn. Choco is no fool and he’s going to be giving his prospective son in law good advice
Do you think an old experienced head is gonna say go to Carlton over Hawthorn?
Can’t see it

Jesus that was an epic long catch up, only to find nothing has happened, just another cycle of the same shyte.
3 things.
The Gov deal could only be done if we are getting pick 1 as a straight swap. So obviously it’s not done in any way shape or form.
State league players have almost no trade value at all. This is in response to a Carlton fan asking.
Lastly, if we can get Burton from Hawthorn for pick 15, we should do it if we are confident of his knee. Will be a gun swing man if his knee holds up. Would be a handy get since we might be losing one.
But Shiel has been offered insane amounts, not sure any of their other recruits were offered such differences.Less, just like they have with all their other recruits
If we did accept 2 x 2nd round picks from Carlton you are right we wouldn't use them, we would bundle them up and exchange them for a pick in the teens. Feel like our picks will change a few times throughout this trade period.Yeah, its a good point you make. It just also highlights to me that a lot of the hypothetical trades don't make any sense. For one, I would be surprised if we went for both Stengle and McAdam and it looks like we are committed to Stengle since it was mentioned on afc.com.au. For me, working through those 6 available spots, I would expect us to let Signarello go and re-sign one of, if not both, Otten and Cheney. Potentially, we could re-rookie one of them. That leaves 4 or 5 spots, with current useful picks of 8, 16, 20 and 40. I dont think Stengle costs us 40 given he is an out of contract rookie and assuming we pick up Smith as an out of contract player for a late pick that leaves 2 or 3 spots with 8, 16, 20 and 40.
So for the people suggesting that we might accept Carlton's two seconds, it just doesn't add up. We would have a maximum of 4 spots on our list and so one of those picks would not even be used. If we did re-sign both Cheney and Otten, which is highly likely imo, neither of Carlton's seconds would even be used.
It goes back to whose responsibility it would be to turn those 2nd rounders into a pick that we would want, and it simply has to be Carlton.

Significantly less you would think. But what $ would hawthorn be offering compared to saints or blues?
