Yeah but Noble would always opt for an early trade, even when it had no bearing on any of our other trades. He wasn't picking and choosing his battles. He was predictable and opposition teams knew they could rip him off.
Yes, I'd have to agree .....never bought this "you have to wait till the end of trade period, to see the big picture" stuff

What is going on with Adelaide, genuinely perplexed to see the club imploding like it is.

Not quite Essendon saga levels (thank your lucky stars, it was painful) but there's a lot of damage that you're doing to yourselves. To have a talented kid like McGovern crack it after re-signing only last year makes you wonder if it is just money that's driving his behaviour.

From being raging favourites going into a granny to the mess right now is a disaster.

Adelaide is a club that typically just bounce back hard from challenging periods and obviously you aren't immune to talent exiting.

Hope you play hard ball with Carlton.
You should **** off back to the Essendon board thanks.

The McGovern trade wont go as smooth as it seem's

I find it interesting Pyke has been in melbourne for some time. It has been mentioned that he has been taking a Clarkson approach and leading conversations with trade target's

Implode?

We are not imploding. We have resigned 19 players last year and only have 1, count tht ONE player asking for a trade. In the entire AFL, we have the lowest amount of players requesting a trade away from the club.

West Coast, premiers, winner of the Grand Final - the greatest club iof 2018 have Andrew Gaff and Scott Lycett looking to move.

We are not imploding, we are a victim of the bias Victorian media writing junk and the average football support only being engrossed in their own club to look at the truth. We are not imploding at all.
It was reported a couple of days ago, that Adelaide with McGovern, has the least number of players leaving this period, out of all 18 AFL Clubs .....that's not imploding

Can you imagine Burton on Tom Lynch (Rich) ...Tom McDonald ..Lance Franklin ....Ben Brown ....Frankly I can't

You made a very valid point, “he is extremely talented”, if the opportunity comes up do we say no?

I fail to see why we say no but can not see a direct link to a starting 18 spot.

Pick 15 for Burton? I say yes and make it work.

You dont think all that crap constantly this year about the camp validates that it did in fact unsettle some players?

That story lasted almost every month this year.

Yeah, the media are honest and truthful with their version of the facts.

I mean don't get me wrong. I'd take Noble back in a heartbeat and send Burton to the unemployment line if I had a choice but I'm happy with Reid at this point in time.

Yeah, well Burton does make Noble look a genius by comparison .....but often we don't appreciate a bloke until we see what he's done at another club .....Noble has been nothing short of magnificent at Brisbane

It a few short years, he's pulled the right strings ...Hodge, retained Beams, retaining players, and now attracting Neale as a destination club :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Raging favourite???? we were only $2.00 to Richmond's odd of $2.20 given what they did to both GWS and Geelong in the finals at the MCG......
And all our players we wanted to re-sign did this year in Sloane, Lynch and Seedsman (despite the season ruin by injuries and being chased by the go-home factor and money) and Doedee extend his contract by 2 years so I am not sure what you are saying "club imploding like it is".

Correct. Not everything was right but the journos every now and then had something accurate reported.

If you don't think the season was a disaster for the Crows including some self harm then so be it. From the outside it looks like it derailed your 2018.

The season was a disaster from the physical preparation of players and consequential injuries ......everything else, in reality was media fluff ......did other stuff happen, sure ...but it wasn't the cause of the derailed season

Still think there's a lot of talent on the list and despite Betts slowing down we've seen the last 3 seasons the worm can turn quickly. Can see you back in the finals next year, original comment was reflecting on how awry things have gone since 2017 grand final.[/QUOTE]

Also Gumblestar

Maybe I am looking at this with rose coloured glasses on, like most supporters do in relation to their own club but just like to add that we didn’t hear any negative rumblings from the Victorian and national media since 2012. Since the Tippet saga. We have not really been a true contender since 2006 and the Neil Craig era.

Then the Phil Walsh stuff happened. We get plenty of positive press how the club handled it. We were not a real contender but showing signs of building towards something.

2016, we beat the Western Bulldogs on the MCG. Plenty of positive press but really letoutselves down with a very poor performance the following week. We showed we really were not a true contender but still living off the bravery of 2015. The foundations were their.

2017, we exploded. We were the best side. We smashed the GWS and Geelong in 2 finals in Adelaide. We were ready. Then we choked on the Big Stage. We failed to live up to our hype.

This gave the likes of Sam McClure and his crocmedia bullshit artests an opportunity to kick the living shit out of us and knock us down. They can not let the crows win a flag. It’s that SA vs Victorian rivalry. It dosn’t reallt matter until the Victorian media are on trhe end of our sucess. We we are a crap, pointless side they don’t care. When we are very good threy don’t show that undue respect, thry find reasons to lamblast us, kick us, harass us and totally sink the boots in. See the past 12 months compared to the previous 5 years when they didn’t give 2 shits.

Believe what you like. Like, it would be very easy for me to believe all Essendon players are all crack head ice smoking junkies. Not really true is it?

I believe Pyke is in ownership mode as opposed to trusting his department like he has in the past

This is something clarko has been doing for a long time

In regards to McGovern I'm certain it will come to light once a trade gets done it the root cause for the fall out is between Pyke & McGovern disagreement. I stated this weeks ago but had it confirmed once again

So they reported your stuff as being inaccurate but our stuff as being accurate.

Sure. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
