And if that was the case then the deal would have been done today. but it was not and it isnt.
Exactly !! .....would have been done day 1 today .....the fact Reid said it'll be another week, tells us there's still a lot of work to be done by Carlton

Everyone right now should be fired

Fagan
Burton
Hass
Reid
Chapman

As a club, we don’t have enough guts to come out and say Pick 5 or he stays.
Look I know you want a job, and yes, this one way to climb the corporate ladder at the Crows :p .....but a) this ain't happening ...b) we're not getting #5 for McGovern alone, that's fantasy stuff

Apparently he questioned Pyke and Burton and we don't want anyone who questions the inept people running the club. Would rather lose talent than have someone question their abilities.
It is because there is an Anti Crows agenda, or at least a pro Carlton one.
Well Purple and Terry were saying that Bulldogs pick 6 was too much for Wingard, and they should package up a few seconds and thirds for him.

Because I believe it more a would like deal by some rather than what will happen,
At this time Carlton doesn't know what picks they have for a Trade, as they also have to trade for Setterfield and still may be in the running for Shiel.

Everyone knows it will be Pick 25 + McAdam for McGovern
I can't see how any spin on that deal could possibly appease supporters so I'm thinking it's impossible the AFC would agree to it. I hope we never agree to something like that. Make him see out his contract if that's the best on offer.

:p Just last week, these same two experts were saying 2 x 1st picks were the correct Wingard price .....love these twits sticking to their convictions

When have they ever shown any consideration for the members?

Again this isnt our issue. I understand your point but if they are walking to the bakery counter with too many cakes and not enough money to pay for them then they have to put some back.

McClure would know shit what Adelaide want.

Show him some respect.

He produces quality research.:drunk:

I have to do it this way ....my strange thought process

But if Carlton trade next years 1st to us for our #15 and #19 ......STOP THERE ! ...there's simply no-way Carlton can get McGovern, Setterfield & Shiel using just picks and holding this year's pick #1 None !

IMO between Carlton & Essendon ....one will get Shiel, and whoever misses out will get Setterfield

I know its not our issue, but because of these deals, nobody can say what Carlton has to deal with. If a deal for McGovern did not get done today then what Carlton current have or are prepared to offer is not the right deal that benefits the Crows

Come at me when we get an acceptable deal.
Why, I will be more interested in the next step the Crows take.
.

It is pretty obvious where we stand given no trade occurred today - basically reckon we have said “Carlton get your shit together and once you come back with a genuine trade we would accept then we speak. Until then GTFOOH”!
Much better than the Noble strategy of trading out good players for unders on the first day of trade period.

I find it odd that a bloke who really wants to leave us (and will act like a petulant child if no trade done) who is from WA is still here in Adelaide during his time off.

Unless the guy I just said "Gday Mitch" to in Henley Square is just a guy who looks a lot like him and I just confused him.

Apparently he’s training at the club still so not really doing a campaignerston and running off to mummy.
