If less money was on offer to get out of Adelaide, he simply wouldn't be going. Shows how desperate (not) he is to leave. Every club could jump in and rescue him from Adelaide with a $350K offer.

He may be citing the administration for his reason, but let's be honest, the likelihood is that he's probably using that as a convenient justification to break his contract and seek more money.

I've posted this before, but of all the people on our list, MM seems one of the last people on our list you'd expect to seek a move on the basis of moralistic / personal values type reasons. Throw in the widely reported discontent / remorse he had with his contract size / value before any of the admin issues even came to light, and I just don't buy it. I believe that's almost certainly what he's telling people, to sound like less of a shit for breaking his contract for money, but I definitely don't buy it.

The whole thing smacks of opportunism.

Yeah, no. If it was admin based he'd be going through AFLPA and doing everything he could to force us to delist him for gross mistreatment, especially if it's born from that camp.

The admin may have helped give him a taste of football mortality, but lets not pretend that this issue is something else than money. After all, Carlton wouldn't even be rumoured if it was admin based as that is just maintaining the status quo, it would be Hawks/Richmond/Sydney etc.
