Yeah, that's not true.

He happily signed with us before the finals last year.

Rumours are, by trade time he was upset by the deal.

That's not because $500k is suddenly not much money. That because clubs assumed he was still going to be an option during trade week and, when suddenly he wasn't, they approached his management with the kinds of numbers that would make him want to cancel his contract and move.

He was being lured away. Which means they obviously were offering something significant as a lure.

The camp hadn't happened, and even if it had, none of what happened at the camp involved him.

It's money, son. That's it. And maybe during trade week, we WILL hear that it's not Carlton that has offered it.

But whoever it is, they're offering the kind of sums that make him want to uproot his life and break a binding contract.

Exactly what I have heard too. And from this, we are looking at any way possible to secure Lukosius (and not so much Rankine)

They want Wingard gone. Apparently.

Not the worst decision one could make. Not the best either.
Lazy footballer .....content to rake in big $$ and "cruise" through his AFL life

if port get rid of Polec and Wingard, they'll have juicy picks to trade up. could be a thorn in our side
Does this mean:
a) They're tight with TPP
b) After going for the flag ...about top do a rebuild?

Right now definitely. Trade could be his moment of football mortality and make him though, especially if he's Victoria bound.

More than Wingard & Polec will go

Interesting, they're looking at a rebuild?

I reckon that's a good route for Port to go. This generation is going nowhere, and can't until Kenny is gone. By then they're wasted due to the time elapsed. Two birds with one stone, let Kenny start to clear the dead wood and change the lineup, then bang, new coach and see if they could do a Bulldogs.

I agree .....as long as the Crows stay well away

They invested too much on second class players & the risk failed

I wouldn't say rebuild but they will shake up the list

The only thing about port that worries me is they may look closer to home to shake up their list

You not scared of another Menzel type ?

Not really. Menzel was a risk that didn't pay off, but the right move as it was a highly talented yet wayward player.

I'd be hesitant if it cost us a lot, but if you could do it cheaply relative to Wingard, it could certainly have a big payoff.
