Cause it's still a close game and their big hitters are coming up. He's done this 60 times this year.

The ball didn't hit his arm so the guard wouldn't have helped.

Long term the problem is that it was his pitching arm

Massive Yankees and Judge fan but this play off series and WS so far is murdering his legacy. Will need to get hot on New York to win some of it back. Soto and Stanton have only enhanced theirs

They are still waiting on scan results , but suspected left shoulder sublaxation for ohtani, has shown good signs of strength and range of motion. Personally if I was Dave roberts, I would consider resting ohtani and freeman during our bullpen pitching game (expected to be game 4).

Boone is a shyte manager. I have said that all season and nothing has changed. Would easily have cost us half a dozen to a dozen games this season with his use of the bullpen etc.

To green light Trevino is laughable. This ain't Yordan Alvarez or Acuna Jr - this is our back up catcher ffs. Unless he had an amazing record v Treinan, green lighting was a terrible decision.

Take away Soto and we are back to a mediocre ball club.

I mean, he wasn't the reason they lost today (having 1 hit in the first 8 innings was the primary one) but Boone obviously saw what Freeman did yesterday in the last at-bat, swinging on the first pitch for the grand slam, and tried to overcorrect for his mistake of bringing in Cortes.

Judge's underperformance is a bigger problem than their manager
