Why did Yankees target Bellinger initially? He’s a solid defensive weapon. His bat has been okay the last two seasons

They want lefties for the short porch. Bellinger fitted that criteria.

Gallo was a flop. Couldn't handle the spotlight. Aaron Hicks was always injured.

And that was the only error of the whole season for Judge. He catches that 999 times out of 1,000.

The player I would love to get is Ketel Marte switch hitter and on base machine.

Perfect lead off hitter

Then Jazz 2 hole. Judge 3. Soto 4 Big G 5, Wells 6, Volpe 7 Martian 8 Rizzo (or whatever first base) 9.

The only picher is Cole - the rest need to go.

imo they never should have got Rodon or Montas (two pitchers in pitcher friendly ball parks) - they should have gone for Castillo instead when he was at the Reds. So I would overhaul the starting pitching. Cortes and Stroman can go to the bullpen. I would trade Rodon if possible.

Can’t see it.
Washington are a junk yard. Apart from the 2019 fluke, the franchise has been trash.
Still love the fact Harper left the season before.

Never will forget Bryce Harper not posting on Twitter for months after Nats win. The shit he got was insane
Mate we've been in a rebuild for 2-3 years and were contenders for 8 years before 2019. Harper went to a supposedly better run club and has **** all to show for it.

GM Mike Rizzo got lambasted for the Soto trade but it's pretty clear now the Padres were the loser in it. C.J. Abrams, James Wood and MacKenzie Gore are all starters on the team.

For how bad they were at developing players for years the future isn't terrible.

Yankees not winning a WS in 15 years despite spending billions of dollars is a trash franchise. Or take your Washington Wizards, no 50 win seasons, let alone titles since the 1970s.

Put it that way. That’s actually a fair point.
Just felt the losing of Harper, then Rendon then ultimately Soto really took them back. Add in Turner gone as well.
Strasbourg horrendous contract with Corbin. Management actually done well all things considered

Washington always got to NLDS and lose. Felt underwhelming.

Oh I know about wizards. A junk franchise for eternity. I love Washington DC when I visited and Beal / Wall there were fun so I jumped on.
Stoked Nats won in 2019. So fun to watch.
