Who do you rate as your best modern KPF

I cannot really split these 3 so I wanted some experts opinion.

Chris Tarrant was the best to watch but doesnt have the runs on the board like the others, also played a bit down back which takes away from his numbers.

Travis Cloke was ridiculed a bit at times but overall was quite dominant in a successful period

Anthony Rocca statistically probably the best and one of the nicest kicks of the football of all time.

Cloke because he dominated the game over a 3 year stretch. Was a contested marking beast. That was key at the time. Wasn’t as classy as some other forwards over his career but I have him as our best. Even the most objective punters would have him top 3. I don’t think we can say that for Rocca.

Cloke, Tarrant, A Rocca, S Rocca.

Cloke was the best key forward in the game for a bit. All Australian. Tarrant was also, but not really a true big key forward, more of a gun third tall. Anthony just ahead of Sav (although I really liked Sav).

Sav was the best pure forward, IM0.

We made a huge mistake letting him leave our club. It was Malthouses fault he couldn’t make the sav/anth combo work. He showed he was still capable at North.

Overall, this is a very difficult exercise, as the all had great strengths and glaring weaknesses.

Sav , again for men was the Best Of the lot… when he was on, he was unstoppable. Lacked a good tank and wasn’t overly athletic but was a beautiful kick, especially between 45-7mtrs out, and beautiful mark. His football IQ wasn’t the best, as shown when he had serine guiding him in his 90+goal season, but could still single handedly crush teams through sheer size and strength.

Anth, much like his brother but probably a better footballer, although not as damaging as Sav. Anth could have been a GOAT had he been able to develop a tank and kick goals from inside 20meters. Absolute monster and like his bro, I absolutely loved him.

Taz and Cloke, both similar in respect that they were physical specimens to be reckoned with, but, both with glaring kicking deficiencies.

Taz the achillean physiqued enigma who was at the time everything you asked for in a KPF, big, lightning quick, a great mark, tough… he also has some issues that plagued him, like his damn kicking for goal. Became a brilliant defender.

And big, Herculean Trav, what an absolute monster. IMO should have been the best of the lot, huge, strong, fit, brilliant mark, moved well.. all the attributes of great forward, but couldn’t kick. Definitely would have been an all timer if he could kick those damn goals. Still a great player, just not to the level he should have achieved. Also believe people talking in hear help derail his last years.

TBH, we’d love any of them now.

Cloke played very differently to the other options you presented. He had a huge tank while also being a contested beast. He is the clear standout of the options you presented.

Had he been a better kick, he would have gone down as one of the all time great CHFs and we may have won another 2 flags.

Then again, how would Richmond fans feel about Matthew Richardson? 800 goals and the guy was capable of missing from 15m out from the very start of his career.

Anthony the best big game player, Tarrant the worst.

Tarrant the only one that could’ve made it in a position outside of full/centre half forward though.

Cloke or Sav probably had the highest ceiling.

Cut it a million different ways and you’ll get basically every single combination possible in a hierarchy.

Rocca’s my favourite, but statistically and accolade wise Cloke is clear.

Cloke is the Premiership piece you build on. The Rocca's were great but never that consistent THREAT that Cloke was.
Pebbles was unlucky in 2002 (they all were) but Cloke was the one and for once the Pies made the most of one.

Anthony Rocca is the worst player to have ever played 200 games.
