Monday Night Footy highlights AFL's inequalities

Collingwood/Adelaide round 1 - live into the Northern States on Fox Footy

St Kilda/Port Adelaide round 4 - no coverage until 11:30pm (both FTA & Foxtel)

This despite the fact the Saints were the most watched team over the first three rounds.

Again highlights how the "system" is designed to ensure some teams thrive and will others can please themselves.

I think the real issue with monday night football is the fact that the Bulldogs were the team pushing for it the most and we dont get one game although we are a pretty good team now who has drawn a few big crowds this year and at the end of last year.

Not hard to be the most watched team in the first three rounds when you are on Thursday,Friday and Thursday night football
Also ANZAC day is live

Its on a half hour delay over here. And is a network ten game I'm lead to believe, although I may be wrong.

As for live telecasts, Nine never do Friday's live, however 10 does both their games live on Saturday's. Should be other way around IMO. Fridays live, Saturdays on delay.

You had three Thursday/Friday night games in a row, so that is meaningless. Also, it means you can't complain about scheduling since you've had prime TV possie for the first three rounds. How about that for inequality? You're starting to sound like a Collingwood barracker.

We've got them because we earnt them.

That's the criteria the AFL set down and we've lived up to it. If your clubs not getting them then it's your fault.

It's not the scheduling I'm complaining about, it's the AFL's reluctance or lack of motivation to find solutions to problems for all but a handful of clubs. There was a solution in Round one to EXACTLY the same situation - so what's different in round 4?

What is your problem JD. Pies have not had one Friday night game this year, you certainly have. Tiges have had 2 (god only knows why).

I live in Sydney and agree 100% JD.

Seems a waste to pay for Foxtel when they muck around with games run post 11.00pm.

Back to the good old days:rolleyes:

WTF is your problem. Show me where he states where he lives? I asked a simple question. Geez you sainters are touchy of late. Must be all this bedsport without climax. Sorry, I meant making finals with no flag to show.

You should leave mum's house (& your bedroom) and experience the world.

I dont live with my parents.... you only wish you lived where I do. Btw, I travel more each month than you have in your sad sorry life.

.....and this has what to do with anything? Childish. Win a flag before you can talk to me about football.

PS: There's your nibble. Enjoy it.

What's Friday nights got to do with anything?

I'm asking what's the difference between Monday night round one & Monday night round four when it comes to telecast times.

I don't see the difference (other than Port & St Kilda don't have a CEO running a TV network).
