Is this the same G. Bland that kicked a heap for Berrigan in the late 70's early 80's. I think he was from Merbien way.

Guys I know of;

Jarrod Arentz -Must be close to 1000. has kicked 6-8 hundred in a season hauls including 3 close to 150.
Brad Carroll -Similar to Arentz.
Rikki Pumpa- Has kicked a few tons included a double I'm told in Qld.
Ash Connick- Never a ton and has spent 3/4 years at CHB but has kicked 600+.
Chris Caldow- 4 or 5 tons and a few 70-80's over a long career.
Ray Power- as a kid I rememeber him carving them up at Berri Culgoa. Kicked a lot of hundreds.
Curly Russell- Gotat look after family! Kicked a few tons (4 I think) around the bendigo area in the 70's.
Russ74- I've kicked 4 goals in my career as a back pocket in the 2's.

Daryl Jordan spent many years in the 1980's playing for Federals in the Upper Murray FL

Brian Shannon kicked his 1000th goal For Beulah in 1986

(Log in to remove this ad.)

Big Vinny Muccitelli (spelling) Would have kicked a heap in the Yarra Valley and eastern football leagues. Has kicked 100+ at least 4 or 5 times in his career. Has signed with upwey this year after kicking 140 odd with warburton last season

I've since learn't that Bill Pearson of old Scotch fame played in the Essendon District after WWII.

surprising. Who's the guy with 4000 odd?

The guy with the alleged 4000+ you mean.

The acknowledged "known" figure for Trevor Sutton's career in senior football is 900 plus, not the ridiculous and unproven figure quoted in the original post.

Sutton was quite a traveller apparently. Played in Vic/NSW leagues either side of the border, and then during some of the southern states "off" seasons, he would head up to Nthn Territory clubs.

Played in 1970s and 1980s I think.

The Immortal Ron Todd of course finished his career at Williamstown on 999 goals

Well, I can boost him over the 1000 mark easily enough.

13th October 1945 at York Park in Launceston
Northern Tas 15.21 lost to RAAF 19.13
Todd kicked 8 goals for the Air Force combined side. Many in the team were VFA or VFL players when not involved in the services.

19th October 1946 at NTCA Ground
Williamstown 16.11 beat Camberwell 13.16
Todd kicked 5 goals.
Camberwell were coached by Albert Collier and were VFA r/up that year, W'town were 3rd. The game was umpired by W Merrington who had umpired all the VFA finals that year.

I also suspect that the oft-quoted figure of 999 fails to include any goals Todd kicked for VFL or VFA representative sides.

Have just been looking in the 3AW Footy Records book compiled by Atkinson and Hanlon in 1989.
The Todd figure there shows 28 extra goals beside his Collingwood club tally, so presume that
is mostly or all state rep matches.

So, 999 + 28 + 13 = 1040 known for Todd at present.
