A fine for the above is pathetic by the AFL. I'm sick of the AFL letting guys get away with this type of hit to the body. I think a week or two on the sidelines would be more fitting than just a fine.

For all the rubbish I’ve seen in my entire life, the Merrett fine has topped the list.
What the actual hell?
Merrett won’t challenge because he wants to move on/can’t be bothered.
Michael Christian is the absolute worst person to possibly sit in that chair of his and Merrett annoys me because he isn’t making that muppet accountable for the most ridiculous fine in history.
He touched Atkins chest, got a fine for ‘striking’
It’s truly unbelievable how incompetent people involved with the AFL can be.

Christian or Kane - both as incompetent AF in their respective roles. At least in Kane’s defence she is yet to hit the prolonged period of incompetence as Christian has managed to muster up. Bloke is a pillock and deserves to be driven out.
