Patrik Weiss’ body was discovered inside his Diana Crescent home in suspicious — and disturbing — circumstances about 3.45pm on Monday.

Mr Weiss was bound, blindfolded and wearing a collar when his body was found by a person known to him.

Mr Weiss was the head coach of the Australian men’s beach handball team. His social media accounts also say he was a soft tissue therapist who had worked for the Eagles, Western Force, Perth Wildcats and other professional athletes..

The 45 year old victim, who is understood to be a father of two, is also the owner of a sports massage business, Pace Remedial Therapies.

Homicide detectives remained at the scene on Wednesday — two days after the tragic discovery was made.

The top cop confirmed the killer was still at large.

Anyone with dash-cam footage or CCTV near Diana Crescent and the surrounding area between 8.40am on Sunday and 3.45pm on Monday should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Reasons for Weiss's ex-wife arriving at his home in a worried state leave open the possibly of something like that maybe he was due to meet or pick up their kids from somewhere and had not turned up as planned.

On June 18, we ran a story accompanied by a picture of Alex Sutton indicating Mr. Sutton had been arrested and charged with the alleged murder of Patrik Weiss. Mr. Sutton had nothing to do with this crime.

FYI: I have never seen any photo of the wrongly accused (by the West Australian Newspaper) "Alex Sutton".

And having been on the lookout for articles on this case in both the digital paper and online version, I assume that the photo of an "Alex Sutton" in the one published online on the 18th, was fairly quickly taken down on the day it was published, once they realised they had the wrong bloke in the photo.

3 weeks for the published apology. What took them so long?
