Silvers on 5AA said he will be in charge of assistants, gameplan and execution and development. Then went on to say Godden was in charge of our development coaches.
But hopefully Davis is the one creating the gameplan.
Makes you wonder if that’s the case, why did they take it away from Nicks? Perhaps to stop him going rogue bonkers again.
Also are we turning Nicks into Hinkley where he’s there to motivate but can’t be trusted with football?

So Davis is in charge of assistants, gameplan, execution and development.... that sounds like a senior coach. What is Nicks going to be in charge of? Fetching Davis' coffee?

AFC couldn't admit they stuffed up reappointing Nicks, so they have brought in a Carr & Kenny scenario.
The best solution would be to replace a head coach if they are no good... but hopefully with the 2nd best solution we don't at least waste another year under Nicks.
Has Nicks been put into the coaching equivalence of the rookie list?

What does this mean for Nicks if things actually go well now that Davis is on board? Even if it's Davis driving the improvement, it becomes hard for the club to justify sacking Nicks if the team is performing well.Welcome to my post from a few weeks ago.

I'm hoping Murray Davis assumes the at ground level conduit between the players and coaches box.
Hopefully AFC have also given him full reign to do as he pleases!

I wonder if Nicks is going to be like Phillip Seymour Hoffman's character in Moneyball. He will rail against all the changes Davis and Balme are making at the club and when the team's form turns around, he will try to take credit.
NAH. Thats the Nicks Role (HInkleys). Davis hopefully the Josh Carr Role upstairs coaching. Nicks can be the one patting the players on the back on the bench. Then in 12 months Davis takes over fully. Can only hope.

not for me... get Pepsi nuts as far away from the players as possible, he can pat them on the back after the game.
Nicks can be a cheerleader like Ken. Looks like Murray is virtually fulfilling the coaches role.
