people do realise we're running a fantasy hobby sports design competition and not a professional sporting league here yeah?

Not sure I would.

lol yeah okay

so you are the sole decision maker now? It should go to a Board vote from all NAFL and NAFLR Clubs.

I vote that NAFLR participants keep their discussions in NAFLR threads (when they are created by the person running that competition).

From my experience......no...no they don't.

I agree with you, but come on mate. You're the one drafting up the huge press releases and telling other teams to change their nicknames.

The nickname change calls was under the old board. They have been removed and the organisation has moved on, the current name change is the final step in this process.

At least my posts are about the competition as it is and my teams participation in it.

I don't see the point in running an NAFL State of Origin competition, given a separate "redesign the state teams" competition would be more appropriate.

I am totally against a cup competition. It works in soccer comps and in FIRA because it's based in Europe, but it's off-theme given that the NAFL is effectively supposed to be a reimagined AFL. There have never been major knockout cup competitions in Australian football, and trying to introduce them takes away from the prestige of the NAFL itself.

If you want to compete in the NAFL, win the reserves. Part of what makes the competition so special is that it's hard to get your foot in the door and the people who are in the competition have had to meet and maintain a high standard to be there.
