What a load of crap... Vossy can't be a scapegoat for our crap list. The Umps have killed us in 2 of our games at the Gabba this season ffs. Vossy deserves some respect so pull your head out of your ar$e and show it to him.

It's wasn't....and yes...Don't hear him using that as excuse though..

Wont be the last coach to put trust in a player.. only to have it thrown back in their face..There have been plenty in your own backyard.

I don't really see the point in taking the lowest position the club was in in 2001 (ninth, with a good percentage) and saying 'but we turned it around from there!' Of course we did. Any successful team can point to their lowest point before they were successful and say the same thing. But there are very few parallels between now and 2001.

I would suggest that that there are more parallels to 1998. Brisbane made the finals in 1996, acquired a bunch of new recruits and got a new jumper at year's end. Then had a disappointing 1997 before finally bottoming out in 98.

Bradshaw and Henderson between them have outscored Fev by only 53 goals to 48 so far since the trade and between them have played 1 game in the seniors this year for zero goals...and thus zero relevance as to where we stand on the ladder right now without an in form Fev.

With Brennan alone still in the side playing forward we may very well have won a couple of games this season...ditto with an uninjured Staker.

We have bottomed out and all the "Dear God,what have I done to deserve this" sentiment won't help a bit....but the 4 picks under 35 in this year's draft that we look like getting (just like last year) probably will.

The only thing that makes me sad is that when teams were coming last in the mid 00's with less then 5 wins they were getting picks 1/2/3 (eg Pies getting pendles + thomas in one draft) where as we are likely to get pick 4 + then pick 27 (I think i read that somewhere else on the forums). Our priority pick should give us the ability to poach one uncontracted player from another club. That would be nice.

I think the teams over the last couple of years has shown how much of an advantage that was - a second top 5 pick for a team with less than five wins basically set them up in three to five years team.
