I think it was easy to leak because its such a simple design. All the mock ups in here have been derived from a poorly sketched out version from someone who managed to see it.Pretty amateurish for it to have been leaked. Unsurprising.
There are heaps of differences when you look at them side by side (monogram, number of bars, proportions, border colour?). The execution of the actual logo is clearly much better.

The P looks a bit wonky and short but its probably a result of trying to rotate and mesh it into the guernsey.There are heaps of differences when you look at them side by side (monogram, number of bars, proportions, border colour?). The execution of the actual logo is clearly much better.

Can we borrow some of his mob to start the protests down at Brougham Place?? I feel like we need some good rioting to happen, to be heard.BTW it’s China National Day holiday in HK today and I’m sitting on my stool in Pro Drinkers Corner waiting for the protesting horde to show up. They were here Sunday evening. I had a ‘chat’ with one of their leaders. Today I have my flak jacket on.
Looking at it again, I am more inclined to have 41 stars (36+4+1) and "Port" written, instead of the "PA" monogram.
So we have a cap logo and a guernsey design incorporated into a logo... sigh.
How lacklustre does this club want to be?

----
PORT at the top;
Then, five lines of stars (8/8/9/8/8);
Then, the prison bars.

It would be something like Boca Juniors (ARG) meeting Atlético Mineiro (BRA) at Port Adelaide.
My biggest issue with it is that it's a downgrade on the monogram standing alone. The shield adds nothing.
Terrible

100%If your intention was to always have the bars in no matter what, then the shield does provide a suitable container for them, with the added 'bonus' of also mirroring the chevrons with the angled base of the shield.
But it's done. Too late.
If they are installing signage, they intend this to be the new brand for the club.
I'm ok with that, tbh "Power" as a unofficial nickname that we can lean on when we choose to is completely fine with me. With this current administration, I'm taking "fine" as a winRemember how when we removed the word 'Port' from the top of our Power logo and told people to stop calling us Port Power?
How do people think we're going to get people to stop referring to us as the Power if there's nothing to replace it?
I am doing my part. I am rioting alone here!I was just thinking the other day that the Port BigFooty board is sort of analogous to the HK protesters, with PAFC management being Carrie Lam, the AFL being China and perhaps Eddie McGuire being Kim Il Jung. The analogy doesn't work fully though - at least Carrie Lam didn't go through with the wildly unpopular policy change that sparked off the dissent...
Just start calling us The Faraday's, in lieu of Power.Remember how we removed the word 'Port' from the top of our logo and told people to stop calling us 'Port Power'?
