What I heard today from source, not sure how correct, no guarantees, OK.

* the new logo is as combination of two logos into a single one. Only meant for 2020 but could become more permanent.
* Pirate Lite seems to have some role to play but he wouldn't elaborate.
* he (surprisingly) mentioned new guernsey design !!
* the march will no longer be from Rundle Mall because casino and railways are blocking access. New march route will be from Wellington Hotel in North Adelaide down Jeffcott Street.

New Guernsey design and a glimpse of the light towers being built at Alberton.
PS - the march will be starting from the Aquatic Centre.

What’s with 1870 crammed into the base of the A? It’s tiny so it won’t even be legible in small applications and it looks off-centre anyway. Get rid of that fussy shit it throws the whole thing off balance.

I don't mind it - lol. I must have no eye for visual design.

Teal is one of our colours and likely will be forever.

Not that fussed about logos but I don't mind this one.

I like the basic PA design, clean and simple, looks good on merch.

The 1870 is a bit fiddly but always pushing it out there in big numbers smacks of insecurity.

It's almost entirely dedicated to our long term history, black and white, prison bars with just a touch of teal using the border.

Don't mind the shield design, have seen it used in my long gone younger days.

Probably just the quality of the photo, but that white in the logo looks a bit on the silver side.

Don't hate it, the teal nearly goes away when its shrunk

The new clubs like Giants, Suns, Hawks, Lions, Eagles and North need big text to tell people who they are, the old clubs don't need any text or use a smaller text. Positions us nicely as an old club.

It would have looked ok without the teal.

Personally I feel it will outdated super quickly. I'd hardly say it's a "bold" design, rather a "safe" option.

I don't hate it at all. Which surprises me given Port's track record these days. I think the crammed in 1870 is a bit naff but other than that I like it.

I wonder if the italicised "150 years" is technically part of the logo, so that next year when the rest of the logo goes full time they did, technically, deliver a one year only logo like promised.

I like it as another line for merchandising but as a main club logo it is basic, cheap, unimaginative and uninspiring. It was money not well spent.
