Is it just me or would people be interested in seeing their clubs new recruits from rival clubs pose with their new guernseys with their new coach when they are presented to the media (press confrence or just a pic). Imagine BJ holding up a bombers guernsey after being signed or tippett holding up a swans one (if and when it happens). Kinda like how they do in the soccer

I like it, some players look so odd in a new jersey when you're used to seeing them in the old one. Goddard will be one such player I'd imagine. We did get chaplin to wear our guernsey after a couple days for a short.

I can't. It's too mindblowingly awesome for me to even picture. I mean, I know what Goddard looks like, I know what James Hird looks like and I definitely know what a Bombers jumper looks like. But those three things in the one photo?

Wowee Brian.

It's kinda silly, but when a player moves clubs, my first thought is what number they are going to wear. Like, Hurley is in 18, what's Goddard going to wear? Lake is 36, but there's a bit of a Hawthorn curse on 36 at the moment. Stupid things like that interest me.

Probably stems from my childhood when I could name pretty much every player and their number.

I'm wondering at the moment is Wellingham and Lynch would be a straight #21 swap or if we'll give it to someone else.

I suspect they do those kind of photos in soccer so the player can remember which club he's playing for this week, kiss the badge when he next scores a goal and then move to another club in a different country.

Cats handing out jumpers with the Premiership AFL logo still?

Firstly, if I was a kid and my dad had played for the Doggies for pretty much all of my life, I sure as hell wouldn't be seen wearing a Hawks jumper for at least a full season.
Secondly, why the **** do they need to sign up for memberships??

To answer the OP, often you'll see players wearing the team polo soon after they've signed or been traded to a footy team. I kinda like the way they do it in Europe and North America, where the player will be presented with the new team's jersey/kit/whatever, stick it on, and answer questions. Fun thing for fans, IMO.

P&W, of all colours. Poor kids.

Classic example of bandwagoners.
