You would think that if the saints did have a new sponser then tomorrow night would be the perfect oppotunity to unviel them along with a new jumper when they are handing the jumper to whoever we take at pick 1. I think we would be the only team in the top 10 that would be handing our pick an old jumper from last season while the other players from the other teams would be handed their new ones that they will wear next season.

We're just about the only team that hasn't released their 2015 polos and jackets and that yet. I reckon we have something up our sleeve.
They're putting the new sponsor logo on the sleeves? o_O

We're getting sponsored by a small time magic troupe who perform at children's parties..? Oh god, this is a new low.
Nothing wrong with that. As Hawkins is lining up for goal , Fish puts his arms up in the air on the mark and 'hey presto' a dove flies out of his sleeve and deflects the ball for a point. :thumbsu:

It'll be called a goal, if a post deflection isn;t noticed you will need a cannon as opposed to a dove.

Massive opportunity lost over the last couple of days for any future sponsors. Who wouldn't want their company name on our polos with Paddy Mc and big Hugh doing the media rounds.
It just might be that there are no new sponsors.

That ball with the Huawei logo could have been a mock up for a presentation to try to get them as a sponsor.

It does seem very strange that we didn't announce this mythical new sponsor before the draft and all the publicity that would come with it.

The Huawei logo on the ball was a mock up done for a presentation to them. Unfortunately they are not going ahead with a sponsorship of the club and the ball is now a decoration around the office. Once again well done to the great eyes of LennyStarkiller that spotted the partial logo.

Its really not good news for the club if, as it seems, there is no new sponsor.

Noises from the club itself suggested new income was a priority. Put it this way - one sponsor, even a mid-level sponsor, blows all membership fees clear out of the water... yet here we are getting excited about being 3% up on last year for sign-ups...

Well, there already was a new sponsor.

As Kildonan said earlier, the club has a couple of irons in the fire, with prospective sponsors. The club is not sitting back waiting for sponsors to fall into their lap, they are actively out their making contact, following recommendations and giving presentations.

Sponsor money is a huge plus for the club, as it is generated at minimal cost, with the majority going straight to the bottom line. An increase of sponsorship makes an immediate and positive effect to the clubs profitability.

I understand what a sponsor is.

I also believe that there are 3 optimal times for sponsors; just before the season, just before finals, and for the worst club, just before the draft. Thursday might well be the highlight of our next 12 months. The lead up to the draft was a big selling point for us, and it didn't draw.
We can hope that it planted a seed in someone's mind and that there's movement prior to the season itself, but so far the continued lack of headline sponsor beyond ledified and linen house continued support is a concern, given our precarious financial situation.

Have they sacked Wakelin yet?

what was wrong with Wakelin? Unless you 're a sponsor or who knows the admin of the club, a person would find it difficult to know how a staff member is going
