Reality is most of our company sponsorship pitches are up against other AFL teams and different sporting codes. Hopefully the Saints secure this one and another in the next month or two.

We are the last club to release next year's jersey. There was loads of talk of us switching merch provider. I'm thinking not all has gone to plan.

The bad news is, we have some competition for said sponsorship dollar from another club; being Hawthorn

I know who it is, but why would I jepodise it by making it public when we are still waiting to sign off on it? Does it really matter if you know now or in week or so? Just rest assured it is a very big And well known company, but probably someone no one would guess would sign AFL sponsorship.

We have been waiting since finnis got here, I'm not expecting anything until it happens.

If something does happen it'll probably be a let down on the amount we will actually get.

I would rather the afl go the other way and start implementing the steps to make afl clubs privately owned

Then why not just wait until it's announced, no point coming on and saying oh hey guys I have a cool secret but I'm not telling you.
I find it hard to believe the club would be roaming these forums and be pissed if an unknown person who goes under an internet alias lets it slip.
Anyway I hope you're right, we need a big big sponsor.

Very sensible from Thunda, not naming any company that may be in contention, until it is signed and locked away. We are not the only ones looking for corporate sponsors, so patience until they are signed.
