I know this not the right thread, but we are expected to announce a new sponsor and someone on SS has mentioned Peugeot, anyone have an idea.

I'd like that - been a Peugeot man since the early 70's.

Despite having a large lull in making "Good" cars Ive always thought Peugeot has made rather attractive cars for the most part.

I've had earlier ones. 404, 504, 405 Mi16, 604 and currently another Mi16. The newer ones, like most modern cars, are too reliant on complicated electronics.

My dad had a peugeot. He loved it. I always liked them.

A few years ago, I would have bought one.. Until I found that it was the same engine as mitsubishi for the petrol version.

There are approx 3 new sponsors in the final stages of discussion. I don't know who they all are.

But I do know this is because of matt finnis. Bloke is a God send

Do you know who any of them are?

Agree with Finnis - club has really taken shape since his appointment. Have tweeted him in the past, saying as much. i

Do you know if Seek and Dare will still continue to sponsor us next year? or were they 1 year deals only?

Mitsubishi might have made a lot of shitboxes over their time but one thing they always did well was make engines that did not die ever. Damn Magnas would disintegrate except for those oil guzzling monstrosities.

We were linked to Mitsubishi last off-season, and Mitsubishi and Peugeot share a lot of ties. I don't really understand the whole car industry incest system, but maybe the higher ups decided that they wanted to advertise Peugeot through the Saints and Mitsubishi through those awful "it's a Mitsi" ads that somehow made Jeep look not so bad.

I just bought a Volkswagen (good week for it, hey!) so **** all of these French and Japanese cars anyway.

Only ever driven Mitsubishis and they have been indestructible in my experience. I haven't exactly treated them with care either.

(Thinking of upgrading to Lexus in next few months though)
