Depends entirely on the music, but having said that listening to white noise was more enjoyable than Pete & Myf.

If MMM want to improve their breakfast ratings, they should just play old D-Generation re-runs from the late 80s. Problem solved. It's about the last time any FM breakfast radio was worth listening to.

I notice it took him less than 3 hours for him to have the Collingwood captain on. Turned it off at that point and never to return. No matter how much he says it everything always goes back to Collingwood. Ed that why so many people dont like you.

Not a good start. I have doubts it will last in the current format. Great opportunity wasted when they asked the big name guests inane, obvious questions, looking like their research didn't stretch beyond browsing the morning papers. Eddie dominates, doesn't have the old spark and breaking Collingwood exclusives gets old real quick. I could only name Luke Darcy as a co-host, the others don't seem to work their way into the conversation. I didn't hear any talkback, so that is a definite plus, doubt I will listen to it when Ross and John are back from holidays on 3AW.

Triple M Hot Breakfeast had an increase in the ratings in the first survey of 2010. Was up by 1.5% according to the herald sun web site.

In the first radio ratings survey of 2010, McGuire's Hot Breakfast show is up 1.5 per cent on last year while his competition is down.

I emailed this "radio show" complaining that they should not be trying to get AC/DC to sing Long Way to the top as they should have more respect for Bon Scott.

I got a reply from Producer of the show Jay Mueller telling me if I didn't like it to go listen to Vega. Looks like Eddie's rubbing off on him

Like him or not Eddie is a home grown boy who knows everyone in town and has his finger on the pulse of what's going on in the joint.

He has the profile and the clout to get them all on.

Work permitting it's MMM until 8:30am for me then Jon Faine until 11:00am (not generally all that interested in The Conversation Hour) and then Neil Mitchell for the last hour. A great mornings radio.

When Eddie was hosting The Footy Show, notwithstanding the Collingwood bias, the first 40mins for me were compulsory viewing, Eddie knew how to get the stories. When it's all said and done Eddie is a news hound, I've barely watched TFS since he left it.

Agree on Eddie, but the overall Hot Breakfast still seems a bit weak. E.J. sure was fired up this morning about that paedophile escaping so easily.

Losing Tony Moclair has left a bit of a gap I admit, & Mieke needs to inject herself into conversations more often, but thats easier said than done with Eddie at the helm I guess. I listen to it pretty much every morning it's the best early morning radio show on FM (pretty much every other breakfast show is hideously annoying and grates on my nerves ESPECIALLY the Fox one with Matt & Jo) and since I listen to the radio through my mobile I can't pick up AM.

I don't agree with you on Tony his lame attempts at being funny and failing miserably started to get annoying. I'm happy he's gone.
